Pull-Chain Lamp Sockets in Australia

I hate having lamp switches on the cord. I'd like to have my lamps converted to have the switches being activated by a little pull chain below the bulb. These aren't uncommon overseas but the sockets with this kind of switch don't seem to be stocked in Australia at the stores I've looked in.

I'm guessing they don't conform to some Australian standard? Or are they just considered unfashionable? Any idea why these aren't popular? And where to find some for a reasonable price?

The prices I've found online are a bit silly - $20+/ea for e27 sockets with the pull chain. Ikea does have some super basic little lamps that use this type of switch for $25 but I'd rather buy just the socket and get my nice lamps converted. Preferably without having to wait months for them to come from china.

Why I don't like switches on the cord: I try to hide my cords for a cleaner aesthetic, I don't like fumbling around along the cord when the actual lamp is right there, I think it makes nice lamps looks cheap.
