    Vodafone Pre-paid.

Can I use a prepaid plan with my eSIM?
Yes. To use a prepaid plan with your eSIM and eSIM enabled device, you must first activate your prepaid plan with a physical SIM, swap to an eSIM online through our SIM swap process and then follow the eSIM activation steps. You can also SIM swap by heading in store.

You will need to have a valid email address connected to your Vodafone account in order to complete a SIM swap. To update your email address, please head in store or call 1300 650 410.

  • If it’s just to keep the number, Aldi’s $5 for the first year is a good start.

If it must be an eSim prepaid, then your option would be a $40 Vodafone 365 days plan (which is sometimes sold for $20 by Colesworth and 7-11).

Another option is Telstra but I’m not sure if all Telstra stores will swap you to an eSim.

    • and then? i.e. after the first year :) ?

      • You can recharge for another year etc. hopefully in 12 months there will be more choices.

        • Is that $5 per year, effectively then? I realise Amaysim has $10 per year option.

  • Non esim is $5 via Aldi
Esim is $40 via Vodafone going by what has already been mentioned.

  • Personally, I use TPG’s $1/month plan. Even though it’s $12 TPG vs $5 for Aldi, the extra $7 is piece of mind that you don’t need to remember to recharge every year, otherwise you will lose that number - which is the entire reason for spending this money in the first place!

    • Can I use a $40 Voda eSIM together with a Telstra SIM on one phone?

  • Can I use a $40 Voda eSIM together with a Telstra SIM on one phone?

    • As long as your phone is unlocked, but Australian phone is unlocked

      • Sorry, what?

        • As long as your phone is unlocked, you can use a $40 Voda eSIM together with a Telstra SIM on one phone

But Australian iPhone is unlocked, so I think you can

but better confirm your phone is unlocked first
