  • Ready to spend maximum 1k on a TV. Would prefer a 65" 4K TV - Sony, Samsung, LG, Hisense. My requirement would be just basic Netflix/Prime/YouTube along with sports. Anyone else in the same boat as me for this Black Friday having suggestions?

Currently, Hisense 65S8 is on 1095 (usually 1395) and I'm hoping this drops further to maybe 945. But I've read that its entry level and not that great.

I have these in my list so far (hoping for them to drop to sub 1k:
    Samsung TU8000 65"
    Sony X7000G 65"
    LG UN7300 65"

Any other TVs I need to keep an eye out for?

    • How did you go with this may I ask? Am hoping to do the same this year we are going to be due for a new one at some stage this year, our 9 year old sharp is starting to fade in sections but its not urgent yet. Trying to get an idea on what's a good deal to aim for. Thanks. Hope you did well!

      • Hey mate, I ended up buying a TCL 55" C715 QLED instead for under 1K. This was an "in-store" deal only which I found by chance after going to Harvey Norman! QLED is simply put much better than UHD - superior picture quality and the sound is pretty loud too (compared to the 3 TV's above) and I can see its at 995 now in JB. If you really want a 65" then this model is at 1270. All the best!

  • Spend the day putting in 28 degrees price protection claims

  • Ticwatch Pro 3 hopefully
