Probably getting an iPhone 4S soon which will be my first iPhone (been a BlackBerry user).
I want to get a case but don't want to spend a fortune. Are there any decent ones on ebay? And what's better…a softer case or a plastic or metal hard case?
Any suggestions appreciated.
Seems a bit exxy. How do they go when you drop them? I had a shitty clear Belkin I got from the free case program.. Dropped phone constantly in bars/road with no issues.
From the reviews, it says it has one of the most durable polycarbonate material so I guess it won't be as breakable as the cheapo ones from ebay.
Just a tip (can't remember where I read, maybe someone else will know) the iPhone 4S cases are different to the iPhone 4 because the volume and mute switches have moved slightly. So would definitely try before you buy.
If you don't mind waiting, it is much cheaper to get the cases imported from overseas from sites such as dealextreme or tinydeal.
For me personally, I would go with one that is made of metal but with rubber trimmings, similar to this:

I've bought a few plastic ones, and I find that the edges to tend to chip away over time (months).
