Bosch WAW28460AU Stains around Door Seal?

Just got the waw28460 bosch washing machine delivered yesterday
anyone get washing powder marks left on the seal after wash, dont think this happened on other washing machines and looks to be staining the seal already after a day old?
1 day of owning this machine and door seal next to drum is covered in white spots from washing powder this cant be right.
And suerly your not required to wipe it off each time you use machine while its wet.
Just got a feeling this bosch brand is going to be a bad choice.

  • Using the correct powder or liquid?

    • Using the correct powder or liquid there is not such a thing there are hundreds of brands and its powder im using as in my post.

      • Using too much powder/ liquid?

    • There is no answers here unless your asking me to ask there?

      • My bad, I read your post wrong. I have the same machine, but use liquid.

Seal is wet after loads, I don't wipe it, but we wash almost every day, I've not had any issues so far (been about a year).

  • I've found Bosch to be very good (pre covid) on their help line.

called them about a split on my dishwasher door seal.

  • we have a bosch, its the only brand that has survived our house for more than 18 months (literally whirlpool, samsung, lg, haer all failed).

Probaby just some weirdness with that wash - items or powder or something, Give it a chance.

    • Wow that's a lot of machines in such short times, my samsung just died last week spider arm i beleive and thats lasted 7 yrs 2 months. So im hoping my first bosch does better to be honest.
I went for extended warranty just incase and thats my first insurance/ warranty i have ever purchased on anything normally i take the risk.

Page 24 of your machine's instruction manual
    "Wipe the rubber seal dry."

Lol read the manual? Who would have thought.

    • Have read manual but who wipes a seal of a washing machine every wash.

  • I have the same machine and I've noticed after each wash there is some residue bubbles leftover. I haven't seen this on previous machines, though I just give it a quick wipe after it's done with the cycle.

I had the same when I received mine. They are the stain of water test mark completed in the factory. They will go away with few washes nothing to worry.

    • Same here.

    • So they where already there? Never seen anything prior to washing only after.
Or are you saying they are not visable until after a wash and will go away.
As have had less expensive machines and not had this regardless of powder used.

      • Yes, they were already there similar to yours. It will fade away in a few machine cycles, or you can try wiping it with a damp cloth. I believe washing machines are tested in the factory for quality check and they are either water/chemical marks of the test.
