Just reaching to get a view of how we can support our local businesses further?
We feel that we can do much more and wouldn't mind the support of this community to give us some ideas.
Please go ahead and post any ideas good or bad.

You need to be more specific about local business.
I asked a small local business in a small shopping village today how they were doing and they said well because people were avoiding shopping centres and sticking to local. She didn't brag but it seems they are doing better than Covid.
you want to support local business perhaps allow them to reopen - stop all the f**k heads protesting, not wearing masks, going to work with COVID19 etc

I don't think OP was the one who made the decision to close them.
Regularly, buy takeaway directly from a restaurant and go pick it up yourself. Cut out all the middle fees they have to pay.
You could provide them with money in exchange for goods and services.
You could host a music jamboree with all proceeds going to local businesses.
