Is 27" 4K good for just personal computer and some photo editing/video editing/music production? MacBook Pro 2020 here.

I mean how's the scaling? I feel like 2K is better for 27"

    • This is not an UltraSharp monitor.

Following is the best monitor for Photo and Video editing. I recently bought one from DELL for 20% and it's really great!

It comes with a USB-C Port as well.

      • what is the pros of UltraSharp compare to this one?

        • I wrote a long paragraph it disappeared when I refreshed the page unknowingly. Will update tonight.

If you divide the 27” 4K screen into four, you get 4 x 13.5” FHD screens. This means the scaling is near identical to my 13” FHD laptop.

Correct me if I'm wrong, i thought hdr is just a gimmick for anything with less than 600 nits brightness, i.e. you can't tell the difference between sdr and hdr without enough brightness.

    • Its one of those things 'it tickets the box for the function, but not the functional box'

SO if your after HDR specifically, you should be looking at a better model,

The key thing for this is a 4k IPS display the rest is fluff

Any chance the person who used this coupon could pass on the love with their own?

      • me too!

    • Used already :)

  • Is it a good choice? 27" with 4K?

    • 32 is better. I regret now.

  • At this price point I'd rather get the Xiaomi 34" monitor.

Different uses. This would be better as an office productivity monitor due to it being IPS and 4K

  • How is this compared to the BENQ PD 2700U 4k UHD IPS?

me and all my homies want 32" for 4k

Dell has dropped the price to 699, so you will get it for 564.43.

Dell also dropped the price of S2721QS to $748.99 with discount its $604.81

    • I was just looking, the S2721QS is reduced until 24th Sep, but if you use the AFFILIATE(etc) code above, it negates the current discount. However you can use the UNSW5 code to get an additional 5% off, total $569.24. Seems good - need to read reviews and compare to LG 27UL600, Samsung UR55, etc. I'm leaning toward Benq PD2700U but it's about $300 more.
