Turns out the um2 doesn't have the power drive the akg 702. What budget amp should I get? I would prefer a dedicated amp running off the um2 so it let's me listen to mic feedback, but hey, I'll take the e10k if it's the only one worth its price.
Edit: the topping nx3s sounds interesting, and cost about the same as the e10k. Any opinion?
Edit again: or should I just bite the bullet and buy a Shiit magni 3? Double the price of e10k, but hey I guess I'm set for life.
I use an e10K and it drives it fine for me. I was on the fence for the Shiit Magni 3 as well when I bought the k702 from the group buy. Happy with the e10k so far. Have any audio stores around you where you can check it out?
