A game wherein your immoral/illegal actions get rewarded…

    Solid game otherwise

    • I've not played it yet, as I just picked it up in the deal.

Isn't this the case with a lot of story-based video games? I know in LiS 1, you get rewarded for trespassing and snooping through other people's stuff. And arguably the time travel mechanic was literally manipulating people and space-time for your benefit, which is hardly moral.

Just how immoral are we talking in this game (no spoilers)?

Agreed with your remarks on LiS 1 however as I remembered it (might not be accurate as it was quite a while ago) it was relatively mild ie not much illegal stuff and the time travelling I think was largely to help others (e.g. preventing certain people from dying wink wink) with the occainonal pranks etc etc.

This one however we are talking about stealing, grevious bodily harm, jailbreaking, resisting arrest and everything in between.

        • Pretty sure you can get people shot in LiS 1, but yes, on the whole it is well-intentioned and you usually have the option to rewind until you're satisfied.

That's interesting, though, and I'll look out for it. Obviously without the time travel mechanic, it will be easier to screw up and considering the boys are on the run, I expected them to run into some shady shit, but rewarding those actions is definitely questionable.

@star chasm: Perhaps the game wishes to convey the idea that you don't get to be goody two shoes to survive while on the run which has some truth to it. Yes the choices are much more permanent this time now that there is no ability to rewind time. Time travelling is far cooler than the super power in LiS 2 lol.

But otherwise the art, graphics and music of the game is top notch (voice acting was said to be a bit lackluster but I personally had no issues with that) which is reflected in its size of 40Gb on steam. You won't be disappointed in these regards.

  • Anyone have issues with payment going through properly? Store suggests you can use paypal but when buying it only seems to enable CC and for some reason it keeps not processing the sale even with all details correct and plenty of credit available.

    • I didn't see a PayPal option, but paying by card worked fine for me.

      • Seems like it's now out of stock, so unlucky me I guess

"Life is Strange 2 - Complete Season [PC Download]: 0 item(s) in stock."

        • Ah, bummer, it's now showing "No longer available" on the store page. :(

I'll mark the deal as expired.

Wow digital copies running out of stock, that makes sense lol. Glad I just got in as I took a long time to finish payment.

          • @FutureTech: Glad to hear someone was able to grab a copy after seeing this deal.

Normally I understand running out of keys - sellers only buy a limited number from the publishers. But here we're buying directly from the publisher!

I suppose Square only wanted to sell a limited number of keys at this price, but if that's the case, it would be nice if that had been on the page, showing the number of remaining keys, like Fanatical do.

        • The deal seems to be available again!
