Lenovo Legion 7i. Thermal Throttling???

I was recently keeping my eye on Lenovo Legion 7i. But I hear from lot of reviews that it has serious thermal throttling even with their new vapour chamber tech.

Can anyone suggest any alternative for decent gaming and productivity (Adobe Apps)?
Thanks.

  • Looks pretty slim for a gaming laptop, it's guaranteed to thermal throttle unless you turn off hyper-threading and turbo-boost and possibly undervolt.
Atleast it has a dual-fan and dual-exhaust setup so your chances of thermal-throttling are a bit lower.
Honestly I don't know of any gaming laptops that don't thermal throttle after continuous 100% CPU and 100% GPU load for more than half an hour or something.

  • The cooling should be sufficiently taken into account to be able to reach the max TDP but again it is bound to reach the thermal throttling. The new intel 13900HX runs a bit hot and it will reach a temperature of 100 degrees celsius when on full load temporarily but if the cooling is working as expected it should sustain a temperature of 90 degrees with continuous loading. If the sustained temperature is higher than 90 degree, then I would dare say there is something wrong with the cooling.
