SIM Card Cheap Pre-Paid Long Expiry

Dear All,
I am looking for a data SIM for my backup phone which I use for Tomtom Go Navigation in my car. I used to hot spot it with my main iphone but this tethering is a trouble and doesn't seem to auto tether all the time and fails to connect.
Hence I am looking for a cheap data SIM with a long expiry with which I can tether and use my iPHONE 6s as a navigator in my car. Tomtom Go for iPhone has all maps pre-installed on your phone so it doesn't use data expect looks for traffic congestion and helps to give you real time traffic using very less data.

I reckon I would not use more than 4GB max a year and if there's a cheap pre-paid option which has a long expiry that would be great for my needs. I would use pre-paid so that it doesn't charge me monthly enormous fees and I am okay if the data slows down if I go over 4GB or less.

If there is an options less than 4GB that's okay too I just made up a random 4GB data

Edit:
I found
1) Catch of the day deal: 60GB Unlimited text and talk on Optus network 365 validity for $99
2) Aldi Mobile 30GB data only on Telstra network 365 validity for $95

Is there any other cheaper option as I do not need that much data ?
Also if I have to choose between Catch of the day and Aldi which is better ? Catch of the day seems good deal as I can make calls if I need to but then again it's Optus network which is unreliable within Sydney City, some suburbs and not sure how it's like driving with it in NSW or in Brisbane

So long as it's in your car all the time anyway, why not go with Telstra long prepaid so you can get unmetered Apple Music while in your car too. You could leave music playing 24/7 with the high quality option on and it wouldn't cost you anything extra.

    • Thanks but I don’t use Apple Music switched to Spotify. I didn’t know Apple Music was free on Telstra or data was free ?
Telstra prepaid is way expensive without a 1 year long data expiry

      • Apple Music isn't free, but the data is umetered with Telstra. I believe Spotify used to be unmetered with Optus, but no longer.

Did you search the forums first? It is asked regularly.

  • Yep I did search but found only catch of the day and Aldi but not sure if there’s another cheaper option. If I have only the above options then which one should I take ?

  • FYI I would need data to use on my TomTom Navigation app

  • Any opinions which SIM card should I take for my use ?

I get 30GB with Telstra SIM at the moment and I have got Apple watch even combined I do not go past 1GB a month. If there was an option to get another SIM with the same number I would use it on my iPHONE 6S for navigation

  • Any updates team ?

Keen for some insight as well on this regard.

  • hi guys any feedback on this please ? I really need a SIM card with long expiry if Catch of the day or Aldi Mobile is my only option which one would be good ?

  • Did you find the Sim card?? I need a data Sim for my Audi connect features

    • yep I just got a deal with Catch Connect 12 months data expiry cost me a lot than expected not sure if I am going to renew the contract after 12 months with catch connect again. There was a deal floating here for heavy discounts you could still get it but honestly get the catch connect for mental peace for 12 months. I can assure you are not going to use that SIM card or all the functions if it costs that much to renew … anyways you may want to shell out that much up to you
