Got an email to buy one of these gift cards with 10% off code. Was wondering, the wording says you can spend at any restuarant that accepts EFTPOS. Does this mean it's just an EFTPOS gift card at which point you could even use it at Woolies etc?

It'll have a approved merchant list in the backend, so unless woolies is on the list, that would be a no.
These are generally an EFTPOS or Mastercard debit card that are locked to a specific list of retailers. You can try it at Woolies but most likely it will throw up an error code and the person will have to come over and see why.
Thanks for the comments everyone. Hadn't realised there was such technology I thought it could have been a free use eftpos card lol.
