Which Computer Component Should I Buy 2nd

As an owner of 2 dell Optiplex 9010, I think it is time to do build a new computer while my old gear give me some value back.
The plan is to buy parts slowly when find good deal or go slowly with 2nd market.
I am definitely go with ryzen 3600 new.

What do you think about the other parts, should I buy new or 2nd hand ? And where should I go to buy (ebay?)

Purpose: Study, dev, web browsing, VM, light gaming (pes) and might be capable of pairing with the new popular xiaomi monitor ultrawide. Current monitor is LG 29inches ulttrawide

Mainboard
RAM (~16-32GB)
GPU (no rush but still want to go for something more than basic, I had the 1050ti low profile in the meantime)
PSU
My budget max is ~$600. Pretty much I want to go for the best value for money.

  • cpu can get used if good deals , less / no risk of faulty

ram too cheap to save that 20bux used , so might as well get new

low end mainboard also too cheap to save that 20bux used , might as well get new like low-end asrock b550-hdv … $115

psu should get new if you want peace of mind

but if you're tight or would like maximum leftover budget for gpu, then hunt for used low-end complete PC system for cheap like even something a320m with generic case/psu would work, just swap out cpu to r3600

    • I agree with that. The whole point just to push more value into the CPU and GPU when possible.
But to get the best out of 3600 then not much saving going with 2nd RAM/Main/PSU.
So might be focus all my budget into good component and wait for good used GPU.
Which GPU is the best value on 2nd market do you think? Consider new Nvidia gen going to release soon, so that should be a good chance to buy 2nd.

gpu prices in used market still irrational with covid premium

some listed higher than the deals posted here.. lol

second hand GPU prices is just stupid right now, don't compete with the over-eager bidders on eBay who will often pay premium for a used Pascal card.

Motherboard 2nd hand is fine but do your research and be aware that very budget A520 motherboards are coming to australian market, you can buy those right now at Mwave or PCCG for measly $109

DDR4 RAM and NAND prices will fall even further in q4 2020 due to over supply issue

    • Thank you, I am not rushing to buy GPU at this stage. I will focus on the main computer and ignore the GPU part for the moment.
