Xiaomi Air Purifier 3H (Global Version) $199 + Delivery (Extra $20 Off for New Email Subscribers) @ Matt Blatt / Kogan

260

I missed out on this deal recently so looked online for a similar price.

Came across Matt Blatt who were acquired by Kogan this year.

Same products from what I can tell but they're giving $20 off for new email subscribers [T&C: Min spend $199 excl shipping, new subscribers only].

Adding standard delivery to 3121 it came to $190.99 for me, only $4 more than the last deal. Mine arrived in 5 days, no issues.

*The global version just means they send out an Aussie plug separately, which also arrived same day for me.

  • any one have feedback on the 3H vs the 2s and 2H. i googled around and so far they look identical. also could you flash it so you dont need to use those chinese software ?

    • 2S uses older EPA filter, 2H and 3H both use HEPA filters which are supposedly better. The 3H has the touch screen and can cover a larger surface area than the 2H.

    • 3H has laser sensor as noted in previous discussion

There is a table noting all the differences on Xiaomi Au page https://www.mi-store.com.au/which-xiaomi-air-purifier-is-bes…

      • yeah i saw that table but nothing on how quite they run… dont think the oled screen justify for the price difference.
do you lads know that if this is the global version: https://www.mattblatt.com.au/mb/buy/xiaomi-mi-air-purifier-2…

(also OP i think that the global version means that u can use server that is NOT in china )

        • I heard something about the different servers in a review video I watched. This model is the AC-M6-SC in case you can shed some more light on this.

You're right that it may not be worth the price difference but with the discount it's only a $50 difference for the newer model so I thought it was the way to go personally. According to some it may be quieter which may help if you're sleeping right next to it.

extra $20 off if you use the AMEX offer!

    • Amex offer only works for Kogan who doesn't give a $20 email subscriber voucher

      • yup but u can create a new account, sign up to newsletter + free Kogan first trial and get free shipping and extra $5 off. So $175 delivered is actually cheaper than the previous eBay deal too.

        • how is the AMEX $20 off activated? automatically when using AMEX? i don't see any links on this. please share. thank you.

  • Is the Pro worth the extra $50?

Looking for something to reduce the smoke and smells from cooking.

    • +1

Tested my 3H with cooking last night. Immediately recognised the change in the air and went from green to red on the LED, then worked its way back down to green level.
Also the comparison tables shows the Pro doesn't have True HEPA Filter which means you're up for another $50 to get one. https://www.mi-store.com.au/which-xiaomi-air-purifier-is-bes…

      • did u physically notice the difference in air quality?
also how big is your area?

        • Tiny area, 1br apartment. Feel like the smells in the air cleared a lot quicker than normally. No real science to back this up unfortunately.

  • Does anyone know the difference between 3H and 3?

I could only find is the Clean Air Delivery (m³/h) 380 vs 400.

    $196.7 using code PARTY21

    • Scroll up for link to comparison table.
Your ebay deal is good but after $20 off my deal works out cheaper.

      • It’s new model of 3, not 3H.

But it’s expensive than 3H deal.

        • It's actually exactly the same model as the 3H in this deal - AC-M6-SC.

            @theory: 3 new model:

400cbm / h particulate CADR can deliver 6660L of clean air per minute

            3H:
(Clean Air Delivery Rate) CADR Particles: 380cu.m/h | Formaldehyde: 60cu.m/h

Shipping to Sydney (where hchen01 is located) at $18.99 not $11.99 - so total is $197.99 - eBay works out slightly cheaper (also has 1% cashback).

There is some conflicting information on the difference between global version and chinese version but this is my understanding:
    1. The global version is 3H, the Chinese version is 3
    2. The global version comes with a 2 prong power cord but it is likely that the Aussie retailer will supply an AU power cord
    3. The global version comes with a multi-language instruction guide
4.The global version enables you to use any region other than China in the Mi app. This is helpful to know if you have other Xiaomi products that you have linked to the Chinese server. If so, you cannot add the global version with the suite of other Xiaomi products you have on the Chinese server. You will have to change regions to add the global version and it will be managed separately to the Chinese-server products
    5. Of course, if you don't have any other Xiaomi products on the Mi app then you can just simply use the Australian location in the Mi app
    6. Once you have set up the global version on the Mi app then you can link it to Google Home or Alexa. I'm not sure about Google Home but for Alexa you have to enable the skill first.

    • Point 4 has put me off ordering as I'm never quite sure if I need a 3 or 3H. I have what I thought is a 'Xiaomi air purifier 2' (not global). However it's connected in the Xiaomi app with Australia region. Will I be safe with a 3H?

  • Found
Xiaomi Mi Anti-formaldehyde Filter S1 for Air Purifier
    and
Xiaomi Mi Anti-formaldehyde Filter for Air Purifier

    on both of these sites.
Apart from the slightly different colour photos, these are the same price.

So any difference between them ?

    • Nah, shouldn't be. There's only four types of filters distinguishable by the colour (blue, grey, green, purple).

  • any deal on the actual filters?

$20 offer not received. I subscribed to the newsletter about an hour ago.

I received the Welcome email from Matt Blatt, but there is No redeem link or email for the $20 (not in junk folder either).

I registered my account and in the Credit section is it showing
    "You have no credits available."

Tried to do a checkout and it is not showing either, so I did not make any purchase yet.

    So not sure whats wrong?

Before tonight I don't even know this Matt Blatt website/company existed, so definitely I have not subscribed or purchased before.

Even cheaper now at Kogan at $189 delivered with first trial, less $20 AMEX cashback and 2% new user cashback from Cashrewards - comes to $165.62

    • Nice.

    • how is the AMEX $20 off activated? automatically when using AMEX? i don't see any links on this. please share. thank you.

      • You need to opt-in for it via the 'Amex Offers' section when you login to the AMEX website.

        • don't see that there. probably expired.

  • Yeah was going to say - cheaper at kogan.

  • Anyone received theirs yet? How long is postage to Sydney? Is the quality good, never bought from kogan before

  • Anyone know if this comes with Activated Carbon filter? Looking for an air purifier with it to remove the cooking smell

  • Does it come with AU plug or adapter?

  • Anyone recommend a model that is strictly for 1 room about the size of a single car garage?

How often is the filter required to be changed and where do you recommend buying from?
