Looking to upgrade my C drive to a Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD 1TB would this be suitable please ?

Probably upgrade the 2nd Drive to a quicker Samsung drive,
Don't wont to make a mistake.

My Laptop is a Gigabyte Sabre 15

c: Drive 238GB LITEON IT L8T-256L9G (SATA (SSD)

2nd Drive 931GB Hitachi HGST HTS721010A9E630 (SATA )

    According to GIGABYTE https://www.gigabyte.com/au/Laptop/Sabre-15-K8/sp#sp
    *Support Dual-Storage System
    -1x 2.5” HDD slot
    -1x M.2 SSD slot (Type 2280, supports NVMe PCIe X4 & SATA)

Meaning that if you are upgrading your LiteOn SSD (C: drive) you can replace that with a Samsung Evo 970.

and if you happen to be upgrading the 1TB HGST you can replace that with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

  • Thank you very much for your advice, in Melbourne don't wont to buy the wrong ones as I can only buy online.

  • can someone help me so i want to upgrade 3 years old laptop and hand it down to my parents so they can use its still running good but getting slow if i upgrade and replace the hdd to this (https://www.mwave.com.au/product/samsung-860-evo-1tb-25-sata…) will the system work with the ssd?

    • What's the laptops model?

      • HP Notebook - 15-ac111tx

Yes, that will work. Since you're replacing a HDD, any SATA 2.5" SSD will work
