Android Version 10 Audio Issues

I have a Samsung Tab A10.5 that recently updated to the latest android 10 OS. Ever since the update i've been having issues with the audio. Specifically, USB C audio pass through no longer works and the 3.5mm headphone jack is unable to play high ressolution audio.

Samsung are unwilling to fix the issue as it is apparently software related and not hardware related. "Due to the technicians confirming your device is working to manufacturing specifications, we will be looking into returning this device to you."

Has anybody else had issues with Android 10 removing USB C audio functionality or High Ressolution audio decoding ?

  • Wish I could return my pc back to the shop, after ms keeps breaking it with their dam updates.

  • Check/ask on XDA forums, they are the experts.

  • Is there a setting in Developer Options to enable/disable USB audio routing? I had to disable "disable USB audio routing" on my Oppo Reno 5G to use an external DAC.

Wow, Samsung could brick your device with an update but still wouldn't fix it as it's a software related problem. Throw your rights at them as that's bullsh!t.

    • problem is I dont have the proof of purchase as it was a gift given to me 2 years ago. Very frustrating!

      • Probably best to then follow the above tips or hope that a future update fixes it. A factory reset can solve weird issues too, had an S9+ that I thought the screen was about to die but a reset fixed it completely.
