What Would Be an OzBargain Approved Price for a Used 2080 Ti in The Next 14 Day?

Hi everyone,

So I am building my new pc and looking for a graphics card. With such high approval from the tech community on the RTX 3000 series cards, I suspect that these cards would sell out quite quickly at launch and since plenty of 2080Ti users are looking to offload their cards, what do you think is a reasonable price if I am to buy one in the next 14 days?

eBay sale of 2080 Ti recently via Buy It Now, via Auction for reference

Apparently the new RTX 3000 series are stupid cheap, sameish prices as the 2000 series, maybe hold off 👍👍

    • yeah because they are the same price with better performance, I reckon it would be hard to get them at launch, maybe 1 or 2 months after for supply to stabilize. So kinda want to hedge my risk

    Yes

  • $700

  • Well the new RTX 3070 is rumored to beat the 2080Ti for only $499USD, so maybe wait.

Pity that will mean $1499 here.

$809 here according to the Nvidia website. Only an extra $55 after you account for 10% GST. Actually not that bad surprisingly

    229$ cash now gumtree

      $220 and a 24 pack of nuggs

    • Yeah I have messaged all the 2080 Ti seller in sydney with $750, and they all declined. A few even say that they have offer of $900+ so I just though I was going too low

  • the 3070 has 30% more cuda cores, much more tensor cores and higher memory bandwdith comparing to 2080ti, besides the architecture improvement; new 2080ti price would be lower than 3070.

    • Since there are different tier for a card, I reckon a decent 3070 would go for $900- $1000 at launch, so I thought $700-$750 would be a fair price for one of the top tier 2080 Ti

    • erm no , can't compare specs direct because different architecture (30% more cuda =/= 30% better performance)

and 8gb vram vs 11gb vram , think MFS2020 or future games

      • it needs some time to polish driver for maximizing the performance of 30xx; also only a few games are VRAM eager; but for most of gaming situation, newer architecture cuda/tensor and more core quantity means overwhelming. For AI training? they would choose 3090…

  • Since when does ozbargain approve anything….
