Wife got an SE and put a useless phone cover on it. It's not safe. She drops it alot.

It can't be like a massive padded bag because she'll hate the look of it and size of it but it needs to be good for safety because it's a frickin expensive phone.

If it avoids dirt getting in that would be great. I'm only using my first ever case on my v30+ which is a spigen and I've found sand gets in and has wrecked the edges of my phone. It actually looks worse for having a phone cover on (but I suppose it's safer from big damage)

  Spigen or Ringke are my go to cases for pretty much every phone i've owned, this Spigen Neo Hybrid might be what your Missus would like? ebay, Spigen Neo Hybrid, Something not too bulky and has a variety of colour ways and reasonably priced.

  I would also get her a tempered glass screen protector if she drops it a lot. I use Nuglas nuglas, ebay

    The hybrid looks good.. Wonder if the insert slips out of the polycarbonate.

    I was a bit concerned about dirty getting in like with my spigen but I'm thinking is almost unavoidable? Here iphone 5c doesn't look crap like my v30+ after being in a case though, so I'm hoping the apple has better build quality

      I believe the Neo Hybrid is a 2 piece case, a TPU case and a polycarbonate bumper

      I reckon should be fine but I would usually clean it every so often, take it out n do a little once over with a microfibre cloth. Combine that with the tempered glass screen protector and I reckon your golden.

      Unless your missus drops it down the stairs or 2nd level of a building, should be fine. fingers crossed. You always sacrifice one or the other, something that is not too bulky while still looks good but provides some decent protection without it being a brick.

  +1 on Spigen. I have one on my 29+ and my gf has an iphone 7 with one and it 'looks good' and wasn't too spendo. She slipped some tissue paper between the case and the phone on the back to avoid marks that might scuff up the back.
