First post here! Just got notified that Amazon AU has the Oculus Quest in stock again. I cancelled my Quest order from Amazon US and ordered this one instead for the quicker delivery time and local warranty. Not an exceptional price but it's there for anyone interested.

Given the rumoured Quest 2 is going to be announced on September 16, I still decide to try out this one and will make use of Amazon 30-day return policy if the Quest 2 is substantially better (or cheaper).

      Exactly !!! I just don't get the problem with creating a new facebook account just for the Quest. I created one in the Oculus site, I can create a new one in fb. BTW, it's not a fake a account. It's a real account created with the sole purpose of using the quest.

      Did Facebook itself say it? Not that it would have been particularly meaningful if they had, but when I heard it covered on various tech channels it seemed to reference Oculus people as the ones making the reassurances.

        Palmer Luckey said it. He was CEO of Oculus at the time of the acquisition. He said to relax, and the acquisition would not change anything.

        But he got fired, and the rest is history.

  Bought mine from Oculus website about 2 months ago. Took about 10 days to arrive.

    I have the go, but wouldnt recommend buying anything from facebook. They arent supporting it in future but that also means it breaks marketplace.
