Any Recommendations on an AC/DC Car/Bike Tyre/Mattress Pump/Compressor?

Looking for a car tyre pump (sufficiently high volume to fill SUV tyres and high pressure, 65 psi, to fill bicycle tyres) that I can plug into either the house AC or the car DC power outlet, and that I can also use on air mattresses, inflatable toys and bicycle tyres. Does it need a rechargeable battery? I don't think I do. It would certainly be a plus, but I wouldn't pay a big premium for it.

I have looked into previous forum posts here and comments on related deals, and also at YouTube reviews, and this or that Ozito ones at Bunnings are strong candidates, but just wanted to check your opinions before clicking the purchase.

Yeah I'm looking for a bike pump as well. Need up to 45psi. For car use as well would be great. Just been hand pumping the bikes. Pain.

If it’s just for bike tyres a ‘track pump’ is pretty good. No noise, good volume etc. much better than a straight hand pump

I have used a Ryobi One Air compressor and deflator for some years. Available at Bunnings but not cheap - $109 without the battery. The battery can be used for any other Ryobi 18v tools. This device is excellent for car tyres and bike tyres. I have used the Ryobi to pump up bike tyres to 50psi.

I notice on the Bunnings website there is a cheaper Ozito version but I don't know anything about them.

    • I have the PXC, I use it on my car, wheel barrow, bike and trolley. No complaints for the price. The 240v plug has saved me a couple of times when my batteries were flat.
It cannot deflate on the high pressure side though (only the high volume can deflate).
The PSI seems a bit odd in the sense that it goes a bit higher then drops down but I have tested with another pressure meter and the set point matches (regardless of what is shown on the PXC screen).

If you want one for tyres at high pressure and also for high volume low pressure like air mattesses you might struggle to find a decent unit. They are opposites in terms of air compressors. Make sure you pick one that does both or you won’t be able to get enough pressure or it will take a dogs age to fill a mattress.

    • How about this Ozito one claiming to do both?

This compact Hybrid Inflator / Deflator is capable of high pressure and high volume applications, featuring 18V cordless or corded operation and a preset pressure digital display.

Inflate your sporting equipment, car and bicycle tyres using the high-pressure air hose, or use the high volume hose to inflate or deflate items such as an air mattress or inflatable toys.
