Myer Video Games and Accessories, $50 or Less - Uncharted 2 $20 - (Myer Chermside)

140

Just walked into Myer Chermside today and noticed all (wii, ds, 3ds, xbox, ps3, psp, pc) of their video games and accessories have been marked down. Prices range from $10-$50, and everything has been individually stickered (most expensive price I could find was $50, and I looked pretty thoroughly).

Not sure if this is just happening at Chermside or if all stores are doing this. The stickers are marked clearance, but there weren't any employees around so I'm not sure if this is just a sale. Considering that they've used stickers this time, I'm thinking it's more permanent.

A lot of the games at $50 are not really bargains, but there is still a good selection at $20-$30. I'm sure someone will find something worthwhile.

Off the top of my head -
Uncharted 2 - $20
Killzone 3 - $30
God of War Collection - $30
Dance Central - $50
DJ Hero 2 bundle - $50
DS games - most are $30 or less (pokemon black is $50)
PSP games - most are $10 or less

P.S. my first deal etc

Sorry if this was already posted; I looked thoroughly to find dupes and I really couldn't find this clearance/sale in any other deals. It's not the same as their previous 50% off deals, as some items have been reduced more than 50%, some things less i.e. final fantasy xiii from $120 to $50, dj hero 2 from $150 to $50.

      • Although i'm giving it a plus… i was getting cheaper games in the 50% off… damn you Myer for ruining my trade bait! xD

There are some kinda decent deals mixed in there though.

  • i haven't seen bargains like this since Daimaru closed down! ;)

I got Uncharted 2 for $6 last month,Myer online shop

  • so are Myer really are getting rid of the electronic games department?

    • I asked a manager a few weeks back and he said they are completely ending their games department, but in future they may stock like a top ten of new releases or something.

      • Oh good, so they are keeping Luigi's Mansion at full RRP after all.

  • Most of those prices are standard prices at JB Hifi and EB, so they arent really cheaper as they are old stock sell out.

  • .Dupe.

    • Why is this a dupe? All I have been able to find is Myer's 50% off all games, and buy 1 get 1 free sales. This is neither of those. If you could point me to what this is actually a dupe of, I'd appreciate it.

  • Had a look at the Wollongong myer and the prices are mostly average. Noticed that all the pokemon ds games were marked down to $50 (from $70 i think) so they are keeping popular games at high prices. Also 3ds games were all $50. It was cheaper to buy when they were half price.

    • Myer Chermside has pokemon pearl for $30. Most 3ds games were only reduced to $50, but there were a few at $30 as well. I guess the pricing isn't consistent between stores. Did Wollongong sticker all of their stock, or just ds games?

You're right, a lot of the prices aren't anything special, but Chermside still has a lot of stock, and since every item is reduced at a different rate it's harder to find the bargains without knowing all the prices at other stores. Since I saw quite a few items at more than 50% off, I figured there's bound to at least be a bargain or two in there. Here's hoping they run a 50% off on these prices at some point ^_^

      • All games were stickered. But there was nothing good that stuck out and I looked at most games.

From the original post these were the same price

        Uncharted 2 - $20
        Killzone 3 - $30
God of War Collection - $30

Didn't see any ds games under $30. There were 1 or 2 psp games for $5 then a couple for $10 then rest for $20.

They might be good prices for people who exclusively shop in real world stores. But i'm always importing games from the UK for next to nothing these days.

Yea, Uncharted 2 was the only game I actually wanted/didn't own and was also cheap. I almost exclusively import now because the savings can be huge, but I'll occasionally pay a couple dollars more to get a game I'm keen for today, rather then wait a week or two for delivery.

  • Checked yesterday at Doncaster, nothing was marked down. Was too impatient to wait around for someone to ask.

  • Picked up Dance Central (Xbox) for $50 at Pitt St Mall Sydney today.
