Mrs Mac's Microwave Pies. Size Reduction and Ingredient Changes.

Just bought a few of these at Woolies on special.

One scanned at full price.

Wasn't sure what was going on.

Except I noticed on the receipt all the ones on special showed as 175g.

The full price one showed as 200g.

Went to the service desk and asked them to check the price for me.

Was told the 200g pie was no longer in their system.

So they have apparently reduced the size from 200g to 175g.

Packaging and cooking times slightly different.

No prominent size on the new packaging.

And they are not Famous anymore!

Shrinkflation. Typical shitty business practice in this day and age.

Mrs Macs customers are too fat anyway. Australians tend to eat everything put in front of them so it's probably a good idea to put less in front of them. Do you really need 1/5th of a KILOGRAM of pie in you?!?

When things go half price it's often because the full price has just been inflated so they're tricking you into accepting the new higher price.

  • happens with every single product pretty much
looks at chips, we're 250g before now 175g mostly (thins, smiths, kettle)
Cadbury chocolates same think were 250g now 200
    same with.bottle drinks were 1.25 l now 1l
    nappies get less

    price hasn't changed

  • beer in 330ml bottles. Still some at 375ml.
