Sleeping Next to Wi-Fi Router

Is sleeping near a WiFi router dangerous.
The NBN installer installed it right next to my bed.

Very dangerous. Don't you know how covid started?

Jokes aside, current studies indicate RF signals (especially from Wi-Fi networks) show no adverse short or long term effects.

Realistically, as things are, there isn't really a lot of RF research out there (compared to other fields).

Pretty sure nbn aren't supposed to install into a bedroom.

    • Next room down on the right side of my house
Bathroom then laundry and they said it's not suppose to be in a wet room

only cause the blinking lights on the unit are not great when you're trying to sleep.

  • No not really. But some manufactures recommend a 20cm distance. Kind of depends on how much power the device can output.

No different than having your phone in your pocket.

  • If you're worried, turn it off at night when going to sleep.

  • Put it in Faraday cage.

Buy cable (check length) to extend the modem router away from your room.

  • You can ditch at least one blanket as it will keep you nice and toasty warm.

  • Our NBN installer did the same. Doubles as a nice night lamp too! lol.

Installed 6 years ago now and no adverse effects…yet
