Is it just me who hates the orange taste? Find the berry to taste better…

  • anyone given this to their kids, have you mixed it in something to make it taste better?

    • I Mix mine with about 400 ml's of water that way it doesn't taste so sweet its sickening…

      • Just buy Psyllium Husk powder and put it in a better flavour. You can put Psyllium powder in any fresh juice or smoothie. No need to buy this over priced scam. You can put a little stevia in if you want sugar free.

        • Know any places online that sell it for a good price? looking at coles prices seem quite similar.

        • I find that psyllium powder lumps up or makes the liquid reeeeally thick and gluggy unless you scoff it down in 10 seconds. I was on that for a while but moved to Aldis version of Metamucil which was only 50c difference per 100g anyway

          • @MeesusEff: If you mix psyllium with some other powder or flavor about 2-1 i find that the lumping is not a problem. Pure psyllium will lump if stirring in. Perhaps pre mixing a batch with protein powder or power-aide etc might work for some as their mixer. All these metamucil products are just psillium powder with some other bulking agent or sweeteners to prevent the bulking. If it is cheaper to buy mixed go for it. But the regular $30 + price is wild to me.
If you make smoothies in a blender lumping is no problem.

            • @jimmy c: I take it before bed so no protein mix unfortunately. I'll usually put some cordial in the cup first then the powder. By the time I fill it with water it's already starting to get gluggy and the lumps of powder is quite unpleasant tasting lol. I just checked the Aldi one I got and it's 673g for $14.xx? Cordial cost about $4 anyway so the price per unit is quite similar.

  • Thanks I like the Berry flavour and its actually cheaper so that's perfect :)
