Hi all
I just got a corner block of land and is looking for a builder. The issue is the crossover (vehical access way) is at left side of house, near the end bit of the house, not the same position with the front door. Would you know any builder in Melbourne that has floor plans for this type of lot? I've done some searches but couldn't find any options.

Thanks for the idea, I havent but it was advised by the developer that it was planned that way as my front will be near a pedestrian crossing, so I doubt it that council will agree to change…
It wouldn't hurt to ask council. Sometimes they actually go out of their way to help ratepayers.
I actually saw one the other day where they had just converted the “off the plan” garage into another space - they had added windows to make it a room. It was very obvious though. The garage was then just a a stand-alone garage on the side.
The other option is to hire an actual draftsperson or architect to design a bespoke plan for your personal needs. I would think this is a great opportunity to get something you actually want.
Have you considered approaching your council and asking if you can have approval for a new crossover in a more suitable area?
It may cost you a bit but would be the easiest way out if they are agreeable.
