Here before all the negs calling it overpriced and saying its cheaper on aliexpress

    • +2

not the same thing, maybe only support IR remote or music control. On the other hand, maybe waiting for more than one month & hard to return when getting some issue

      • -4

Not the same thing?? Oh oh, I can already feel that this aint going to go well.

        • +11

:) it's ok, but thanks for your advice.
We also search the bargain before & decide to post this.

        • +13

          Fair argument IMHO
My recent AliExpress experiences are abominable.
2.5 months and counting on items sent "ePacket" with a "15-20 day" quoted shipping time. No support from AliExpress until 3.5 months has elapsed.

          • +1

@ESEMCE: Talking to Aliexpress support was like talking to a wall.

            • I didn't get my item
            • Your item was marked as delivered

            • That's great, can I have a date when it was 'delivered' and a courier company name? Maybe something went wrong on their end

            • Your item was marked as delivered

            • Well, I didn't get it. Can you tell me when and by whom it was delivered? I want to reach to them and find out what happened

            • We can see in our records that your item was marked as delivered

            Goto1

            FFS

          • @ESEMCE:

            2.5 months and counting

Get used to it. This is for all companies that use snail mail out of China.

          • @ESEMCE: aliexpress is scam why dont you all people understand they do absolutely nothing buyer always has to file complaint against merchant using bank to get his money back

        • +2

Local stock is not the same thing and the price is pretty good for the features.

        • +2

          You were (incorrectly) saying?

      • didn't you import through alibaba

        • +1

OEM from the factory we certificated. :)

        • +1

All the things we sold are strictly selected from the factories, to ensure the quality, especially safety. And of course together with relevant certification. Then we will cooperate to produce.

          • @auselect: May I know what are the certificates you are referring to? CE ROHS doesn't mean much here in Australia and practically every plastic mold in Chinese factories seem to have CE and ROHS by default regardless of those being real or not. Is your AC adapter certified for AU/NZ use?

            • @websterp: Global-mark.au Certificate of Conformity

Any specials on high lumens 80-90+ CRI warm white strips doing the lighting for an outdoor BBQ project

  • +3

For a much quicker deliver, it's a good price..

  • No white cool/warm?

    • sry it's only rgb 3 color

    • No white cool/warm?

Can RGBs not used with White and Warm white color?

      • +1

Colours will look weird if you try to use RGB leds to produce white light.

        • What if stand back and squint?

      • the white LED is a separate one which these dont seem to have

      • RGBs can produce white light, but they do so by emitting red green and blue. When they mix, they will create white - but it's definitely subpar to white LEDs, and you can sometimes see the individual colours in reflections or areas where the three don't overlap well.

    • +1

i am also looking for warm white one
RGB cannot produce good white or warm white
      they look very wierd.

  • +4

Can these strips do multiple colours along the strip or just one colour at a time?
(Picture looks like the coil has multiple simultaneous colours, but no mention of RGB IC in description)

  • Looking for bright light for office room under cabinet. Do you have any options.

    Can anyone help me

  • +1

Sorry but if anyone more well versed could answer - What's the difference between the 16.99 and the 26.99 options?

    • +3

Predominantly the LED types and subsequent brightness:
      https://www.waveformlighting.com/pcb-designs/what-is-the-dif…

      • +1

        Cheers for this, appreciated

    • +1

For $1 more than the 26.99 option there is also a 300 LED 5050 version too.

    • +2

I'm not an expert, but they use different LEDs. the 5050s typically put out heaps more lumens than the 3528.

Also it looks like the second listing includes a power supply and some IR thing..

  • +1

How many of these can you daisy chain together? I want to run a longer stretch than 10m

    • +1

the invert only supports 10m, if need more longer. maybe must change the invert adapter.

  • My home theater area is around 20m, how can I connect multiple of (4 *5m) them together? Do I need buy any connector?

  • Hi OP, do you have a version without a power brick and DC (powered by USB)? Been thinking about getting some strips for my TV but don't want to feed another powercord through the wall.

    • I tried this myself, only to discover that the particular TV can only put out 0.5A which was barely enough for viewing back-light; not particularly bright. different kit of course. You're probably going to need more power from somewhere.

      • Yep, you can definitely get decently bright ones for a TV powered by USB (not for room lighting etc), but you will almost certainly lose the wifi/ Amazon connectivity. Hence you'd just have to use the IR remote.

  • Can anyone suggest if you can sync this to the TV back. If so how does it work. Thanks

  • Can anyone suggest a diffuser strip that can be used to put this strip and achieve nice diffusion effect? I had a look at the aluminium channels on ebay but not sure the best one on budget.

    • +1

Cut strips of baking paper if you want a cheap diy option. These lights are 5050 led's so they're shine through the paper easily.

  • Who manufactures the wifi strip? Do you know if there is any Homebridge pluggins for them on github? I use Homebridge to control non Apple Homekit devices. Cheers

  • Looking for something that works on smart life.

  • Are the LEDs individually addressable?
If so, what in-built controller chips are used?

  • +3

I can definitely vouch for this and the quality of the product. I really liked it and ordered another box as a spare lol.

Here is mine stuck on the back of a low profile ikea cabinet - photo > https://i.ibb.co/L5VkxH8/20200909-122428.jpg

    • Tks for ur purchase ;)

  • Is there any way to make it ambient light colour changing with what is on the screen?

  • +1

Be aware if you cut the strip there's no connector or any way to reuse the cut off portion of the strip. Bit of a waste as it's 5 meters long.

    • +4

Can't you just solder them back together?

      • +2

You can also get plastic connectors/joiners in different configurations like straight or L shaped, even rotated I think.

        • +1

          Got a link to those?

          • @Dream-cast: they're all over eBay/AE

just search for "led strip connector"

I wonder if "Magic Home"APP compatible with Tuya APP for "tuya convert" for Home Assistant local access.

    • Not Tuya. But we will upgrade next time.

bought this one the IR connection is very fragile and disconnects from time to time. Issue that needs to be ADDRESSED!!!

    • did you contact support? Did they resolve it?

      • +1

Not sure if you bought the one from us, as our IR connection 100% tested good for each one during manufacturing. We support free return and a full money-back guarantee if the quality problem as you described.

  • Are these 12v or 24v? I'm wanting to buy the 2x5M wifi strip, but worried about voltage drop for my 8 meter requirement.

    • 12V supports 2*5meter max

      • Is that in series or parallel? I was under the impression that if linked up in series, maximum is 5M, in which voltage drop will kick in for anything more than that, and there will be uneven brightness.

        • LED strips are all wired with the segments in parallel.

I am not too sure what you mean by "voltage drop will kick in" but your limiting factor on the length/brightness here is the max current output of whatever they are plugged into. The voltage drop across a segment will always be the full 12V, doesn't matter if it's 1 segment or many.

          • @Harold Halfprice: The voltage will drop with distance from the power supply.
It's a phenomenon of DC power and the reason why we have an AC power grid - AC voltage drop is considerably lower over the same distance.

At the power supply it'll be 12V, but at the end of a 5m length it might be down to 10V or less (depends on the thickness of the conductors in the strip… thinner conductors = greater voltage drop per metre).

            • @ESEMCE: Yeah you're totally right. Even though they're all in 'parallel' there is significantly more wiring for the segments at the end of the strip, and at 5-10m of thin gauge wires the resistance would build up.

              • @Harold Halfprice: Yeah, that's what I've heard for most LED strips, so I wanted to clarify with the OP.

@auselect, could you confirm whether there will be noticeable brightness changes for a 8m length due to voltage drops?

  • +1

Do you have any that turn on with a sensor ?

    • +1

      only music sync.
      Sry for that

  • Are these Australian power plugs?

    • +1

      yep, all au power plug

  • @OP - can two 5 meters LEDs ($39.99 one) be joint together to make one 10 meter long LED strip? Or do they have to be individually powered using two ports of control centre?

    • +1

Yes, it can be joint together to make one 10 meter

  • Can I buy 15m strip?

    • suggest not. Or u can change another powerful invert(24v) support 20m.

  • +1

OP: Are these Tuya manufactured/compatible (it is a positive if so and they are cheaper than the Genio version)? Otherwise, are they Hubitat compatible?

    • not Tuya. But we will upgrade next time.
Our wifi solution is magic home

  • -6

does the 5m strip - $26.99 not work with alexa?

  • +2

I only need 2m for my computer desk, is there an option for 1 x 2m with google assistant? would be good if there's a way to turn the lights on/off automatically with my pc.

  • +2

Anyone got a good recommendation for a TV LED strip? I am looking for mainly wifi and warm white features.

  • +2
