Churning Credit Cards and updating old credit cards

Looking for tips for those who churning Credit Cards and I'm trying to save time updating new credit card details on multiple sites like eBay, Amazon, Electricity providers, Mobile providers etc each time.

Do you update each site individually each time you churn or is paying everything via PayPal etc a better way to do it?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Interesting you mention that.. I've just been forced into churning my credit card by my bank (they decided to swap from Visa to Mastercard for all their credit cards), and have been through the process of updating all the billing sites (mobile, netflix, insurance, internet, toll roads, etc). I concentrate first on the ones that are monthly billing, in order of importance (I consider internet access the most important).
I'm not sure I completely trust PayPal so I prefer just updating credit card details on each site.

    • yeah I've just gone thought the same process. Its a bit painful. Yeah I'm not sure about just using Paypal also.

I maintain one card which I don't churn which is linked to subscriptions, and is my staple in between churns. PayPal I will link/remove churn cards as spend can rack up quicker, but Spotify/Netflix/etc.. it's too painful for maybe $50 of spend when I may not have the card for 2 months.

I've found this works quite well with the WAF being much higher having one stable card.

    • I was using one card for everything too but I just downgraded it to fee free card so the number changes and I signed up to churn 2 other cards with in the last few weeks.

I mean you can go through your credit card statements and see which ones have direct debit monthly.

Yeah thats what I did. I was just interested to see what others do.

  • If you have your CC info saved into chrome it can save a bit of time 'entering' the info.

  • Get a Revolut card. Use its number for everything and top it up with your credit cards. You can even use Apple/Google Pay to top it up. Problem solved.

    • Never heard of a Revolut card before but after a quick search on Ozbargain, I found this - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/492959

Seems like a few have had issues with credit card top-ups and recording the transaction as a cash advance.

      • I've not had that issue and have 'topped up' from Macquarie Black Visa, Suncorp Clear Options Visa and ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa. I haven't tried a MasterCard - so that might be the issue? Also I always use Apple Pay to topup, so I can quickly flick between cards without having to load them into the Revolut app as a topup card. YMMV.

      • Also with Amazon/eBay I don't have any saved cards and only use discounted gift cards from Suncorp/Macquarie to pay.
