Just thought it's a good deal considering that this products is being sold for about $100 in the shops.
I read some reviews and it looks like pretty good hands-free unit for the car.

  • This looks excellent! I just watched some youtube reviews and this is exactly what I'm looking for!
    Getting one right now :P
    Cheers!

  • bought one, looks very good price. cheapest price i could find was $76 + shipping.

If you have an aux input! If not it is useless

    • The aux input is only for streaming radio etc isn't it? The rest is via Bluetooth…
EDIT: you're right. Now it seems pretty useless, I agree with you.

      • Once again, only useless if you dont have aux input to your stereo. Otherwise it is a great price

  • I bought one too, good price.

Most of the cars stereos have Aux input. Perhaps only old cars don't have it.

    • Depends on which company. I have an 08 getz, was looking forward to this but no aux input. Oh well.

  • wow this is great!! bought one straight away!!

  • Bought one in the blink of an eye. Dealer price is around $75. Almost shat myself coz couldn't login to my account as I haven't bought from COTD in a while.

  • Good stuff and good price, sadly my car just doesnt have that damn aux input… guess i'll just stick with bluetooth headsets…

what's the point of having a bluetooth connection if it requires an external power and an aux output?

    • -1

      Read the description.

      • read it and still think it's useless.

        • For its RRP its feature set is dismal compared to $10 combo charger and 3.5mm cable phone to aux, for $35 its still questionable value.

    • Agree, Whats the point?

      • You cant control your phone purely via aux, and also making call using aux cable gives you feedback and is illegal because you have to touch the phone.

  • I have the aux port on my car stereo but have an older mobile phone which is blue tooth enabled. Will this still work for me, or do I need a smart phone?

  • Just bought mine. If you do not have a AUX port in your car, this is useless. I have a VZ Calais with no AUX and had to get one installed. All the cheap and cheerful cars have them as standard (ie Jazz, Getz, Yaris, Mazda 3 etc)

  • To all those who have no AUX input, http://www.gromaudio.com/ may have something suitable.

I just bought the Belkin and a Grom AUX adapter, so I'll go from CDs (with no MP3!) and cassette tapes to Bluetooth audio streaming and handsfree for less than $100… and I get to retain my stock fascia!

    Cheers to BOB19

    Just grabbed one !

  • Does anyone knows how long is the distance between aux cable and power cable?
Because the AUX port in my car is at the top of the dashboard and the power is at the bottom (near the handbrake).
By looking at the picture, the cable looks very short.

    • refer to the first 30 seconds of the video review, they do have an extension chord for the aux input, and even if they don't have one, you can buy one for yourself from ebay or any electronic stores for a decently cheap price. :)

  • Does anyone know if this unit support multipoint and voice command?

  • the thing about my car is that its aux connector is actually a 3.5mm male input (my car uses one of those cassette connector to a 3.5mm jack), and since the bluetooth set requires a female input, how will I go about doing this?

I was looking at this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-5mm-Female-Female-F-F-Audio-Ste…

is it possible for me to put both the male input from the bluetooth set and the aux input into the stereo coupler and have it working? i.e. the input coming from the bluetooth set and the output going into the aux input

  • Reasonable deal, positive from me.

  • Thanks, i got one of these. Have been pontificating whether to get a bluetooth headset, or one of those visor speakerphones, or a music bluetooth headset or receiver.
This looks a good option, cause i can play my music through my stereo from my phone, and still receive calls without having to disconnect a cable or bluetooth. Great price!
My phone has an FM Transmitter in it, but it's not good when calls come through.

  • Got mine today. It had a note from Catch of the Day explaining that the item may not be exactly as advertised, but it appears to be what i thought i was buying. I think it might just be that it states that it's designed for the Samsung Galaxy S II, on the box.
Now i need to install my new car stereo with AUX input, before i can use it.

    • Got mine yesterday too with the same note from COTD…which i thought was just shipping paperwork
which was lucky cause i had pulled apart the packaging already !

(plugging mine in today…hope it works ok)

  • I just received mine also,
and it also came with the note and the packaging stating its designed for samsung galaxy II.

Did you guys get a chance to test it? does this work with iphone 4?

I would assume it does since Bluetooth is just bluetooth.

only thing is, does the double tap to skip song work on this?.

    Thanks

  • Just installed mine. Works a treat with my older Sony Ericsson Z610i which is blue tooth enabled.

  • I've also tested the unit just now
works perfectly with an iPhone 4.
double press for skip songs work too.
