First RTX 3080 Preorder

Hi team, first search result for an RTX 3080 preorder.

Not a vendor I'm familiar with so not pulling the trigger but thought I'd let you know.

Personally had PC parts DoA, so would prefer to buy from vendor with easy returns process (plus certainty on taxes).

Edit: Link fixed, sorry. Submitted via mobile and it was wonky.

You do realise it's an American website and that's USD with delivery charges and any applicable duties to be paid. Not to mention potential hassle with warranty.

Yes hence why I'm not posting it as a deal but a forum post.

If you are buying from the usa, i would rather get the reference blower that is not available in australia.

B&H are a massively well known camera/video seller in New York. I guess computers sort of tie into that (photo/video processing). I've bought a lot of camera gear from them over the years, wouldn't hesitate to recommend them but as others have mentioned, remamber they're OS and you'll need to pay GST on top of the displayed price.

They're legit, B&H have had tons of deals posted on OzBargain in the past and I ordered some headphones from them years ago.

  • Warranty might be a potential issue since only EVGA offers worldwide warranty as I recall. Even then there's the cost of shipping it back and forth to get it fixed.

  • AUD: 1,422.12 to 2066

  • Unbelievable price when you compare to the initial/pre-order price of the previous generations

    • You think it’s good?

      • It's always impossible to buy at MSRP in the first few months. I can't remember when was the last time seeing the pre-order price was only $100 higher than the MSRP.

2080 MSRP was $700 at launch. 2080 price history

    • It's apparently what it will be like for all the 3000s. Including shipping, GST etc brings it to higher than what they will apparently retail for here.

      • Yeah was wondering if the price with import fees etc ($1412) is too much. Guess will have to wait until next week..

  • Isn't there a import duty >$1000?
