Samsung Galaxy Note9 Vs S10+ Refurbished like new Condition. Buying help.

Hello. I was looking to upgrade my Samsung galaxy s5. Ive had a look on ebay on a note 9 brand new for $695.99 and found another deal with a S10+ like new refurbished for $709 (ive never purchased a refurbished product before). Im not big on phones and wanted some help on deciding which one to buy. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do you get any warranty with the refurb phone?

    • Like new doesnt get warranty but the excellent condition gets 3 months.

The "brand new" Note 9 may also be not a brand new. I'd go with the newer version Note 10, just check the feedback the seller has.

If the company is located in Australia I'd be happy with a refurb.

I've taken a chance on refurb phones before and they're nothing but a nightmare. Luckily it was the Note 4 days when I could just say (profanity) it with the company and went and bought a legitimate battery from Samsung. I've been looking at brand new Note 9s (the last of the good Android phones) because I don't want a clapped out battery. If you can find stock, they're all still $1k+ which is ridiculous money to spend on a phone that will no longer get updates and is over 2 years old. All the refurb sites have dodgy as reviews and even some that list as "brand new" are actually refurb

    • Thanks for the heads up. Ive decided to wait till black friday to see if there are any good deals. Im from vic and we are in lockdown so some of the good Jb hi fi deals for the S20+ is not available sadly.

      • For me, it's the fact that NONE of the new Samsung phones (S20, Note 20) are… any good. Super overpriced, no headphone jack, no micro SD (unless you go Ultra), just… so underwhelming. I'm going to try and hold out for the next gen. Hopefully the new Note will go back to being no compromises

        • Even over priced at $793 with the Jb deal?

  • Consider the Note 10 Lite.

Same CPU to the Note 9 but released this year (i.e. longer software updates) and no messing around with refurbs.

  • Looking to offload a brand new sealed in box Note 9, dm if interested.
