Hello! I have a small bricks and mortar store with an online presence. As an experiment (and perhaps fun) I'd like to add some gaming items to our physical and online store. New games, consoles, accessories etc. to test the market.
Is anyone experienced in the industry that can point me to the good and the bad in terms of distributors? So far I've spoken to All Interactive Distribution and VR Distribution. Are there any other big players that I'm missing?
I'm aware the margins for consoles and new games are fairly terrible.
I have worked extensively in the industry. You will never make more than a pittance as a retailer when competing against Amazon etc. Better off selling the merchandise that goes with the games.
There are also layer upon layers of various deals etc that general retailers don’t get.
