Copying the info from a previous node:
Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling utilize both feedforward & feedback dual-mic ANC tech to significantly reduce background noise and contain microphones both inside and outside the cups. Hybrid ANC can suppress noise at a broader range of frequencies, adapt to and correct errors, and is not as sensitive to how the person wears the headset. This all provides better ANC performance to the listener.

Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Technology: Reduces ambient noise by up to 30dB
Crystal-Clear Stereo Sound: 40mm dynamic driver pumps out crisp stereo sound and powerful deep bass
Rapid Recharge: 2 hours of use with 5 minutes of charge. Completely recharge in just 45 minutes for up to 35 hours use.
Customizable Comfort: Super soft protein cushions, adjustable headband, 90° rotation axis for comfy all-day wear
Hassle-free Bluetooth 5.0 Connection: With the latest Bluetooth technology for a more stable connection

  • I bought these for over $100 and thought it was a bargain … great price now !!

  • +1

I bought these & sent them back about a month ago, I found them so heavy on my head…

    • +1

I checked the weight based on your comment. The 90's are over 500g, whereas the 85's are around 220g. Huge difference. Thanks for pointing this out.

      • +1

Yep the 85’s are what I’m looking at getting now also.

  • +4

Is the microphone good for calls?

  • Vs ttbh22 which I’m using now?

    • Meh, bought for work. Thanks OP. Looks good.

  • I tried finding a comparison of the newer ones and the older models but couldn't find anything. The only feedback I've heard is a guy saying they had the 42's and recently got the 85'a but prefers the 42's due to a little more bass in them.

Can someone who has owned or tested 2 or more of these let me know how the 22, 42, 85, 90 (and I think there's also a 60 or something?). I would like the 85 or 90more as they have better/newer technologies but only if the sound is similar in quality to the older ones (mostly looking at sound quality and ANC comparison)

    • Sorry I won’t be able to help to compare 2 products. I did get the BH046 last year which were exceptional. It had stellar reviews - and a small number of negative ones.

All in all- great headphones - I used it with the ANC on at all time’s because it produced much better sound with it. It suited me- might not suit everyone.

  • I put a post in the forums today asking why the flagship BH 055's have been discontinued already (confirmed in an email from Sunvalley / TT), anyone know why?

Maybe something in that they use a 'sony ANC chip', or the Aptx codec.

Cant see any reviews about quality issues?

It was a new model at the start of the year?

  • Are these headphones micro-USB or USB-C? in the title it says micro-USB but the 4th photo states Type-C with fast charging? it can't be both!!
I watched a review of these headphones and you can clearly see that it is USB-C port TaoTronics SoundSurge 90 Best 60$ ANC Headphones at the 1:17 minute mark.
Finally it states that the release date is 7/20 in the product description section. Yet when I looked at Youtube reviews of the TT-BH090 they date back to at least 5 months ago.
My guess is that they were released earlier this year with Micro-USB but got updated to USB-C on 7/20, but I really have no idea!!

    • looks like micro usb, which is a real pity. the amazon Q&A has a few confusing responses but most say micro. there is a recent review with pictures that clearly shows the micro USB as well: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/customer-reviews/R1VIVQNLKJCTLI

      • On the Amazon U.S this same model TaoTronics TT-BH090 is repeatedly stated as having USB-C or Type-C.
I much prefer USB-C as when I travel it's convenient to only take one cable, in my case USB-C for my phone, tablet etc!!

  • does this or other TaoTronics headphones support multi device connect?

    • If you mean for example 2 headphones connecting to the one device such as a tablet or phone playing music or videos, or your headphones connected to your phone and tablet then in this case I believe yes. As these headphones have Bluetooth 5.0 which allow for multi device connect, but all devices must have Bluetooth 5.0.
I think multi device connect is available on older Bluetooth versions but not all devices supported it.

  • Is there a dedicated / multi-functional button for Google assistant / Alexa?

  • Good news guys!!! They must have changed the product description recently, it should now come with USB-C !!! I'm still waiting for my headphones (ordered 20th September when it was still advertised with Micro-USB) so hopefully they'll come with the new charging port.

    • Did you get yours yet? Were they USB-C? PukeyLuke's experience below concerns me a little :/

      • +1

When I saw that they've upgraded to USB-C I asked the seller if mine will be coming with one or not and the seller suggested to cancel my old order and place a new one to make sure that mine will have USB-C. Were delivered 29th September, have USB-C, no issues, quite happy with them. My girlfriend has just started learning piano and I think I would struggle a lot without them :) …

        • Thanks for the quick response. Pondering whether to get them in the Amazon Prime Day sale - $67.50. Seems like a great deal.

          • @mjdawson: if you can get them for $67.50, it's a steal. The cups can even fit my big ears, that's why I chose them :-) …
the only downsides I would say is that they are not that loud and you can feel the weight after couple of hours wearing (2-3+). But overall I would recommend them…

  • I ordered mine after the "upgraded to USB-C" model arrived, so this was the deciding factor for me to order it, but they sent me the micro-usb model. Not only this but it appeared to be a returned box, as it was not shrink wrapped or sticker sealed, the box was dirty and the contents had clearly been moved from their original position. My guess is that someone else returned it when they discovered that a USB-C model is now available so they decided to send the dirty old micro-USB model to me, not happy!!
