Woolies should have them as my wife bought some the other week.

They are sold together with the packed popcorn in Coles and Woolworths

  • yea both stores usually sell them

Same here Coles and Woolworths only seem to sell the microwave stuff. We get it from a small IGA.

    • I get mine from IGA too. They sell a home brand version of the popping corn which makes them cheaper than the branded bag sold at Coles and Woolies mentioned below (Riviana).

    • I've always found Riviana Popping Corn at Coles and Woolies if I stare at the shelves for long enough. It tends to get lot amongst all the packages of pre-popped corn. It might not be in every store though.

Woolies/Coles. It's in the chip aisle, usually around where the nuts, jerky etc is.

  • Oh ok thats weird . I had a look at both coles and woolworths in my area and nothing . Maybe just in my area

Have you checked the right isle. I found them hard to find. Try a staff member.

  • This is what I get from WW. They are near the chips.

    • Im in Melbourne seems like they don't stock it here

      • Coles has the same.

        • Thanks ill look again at coles . Woolworths saying no stock anywhere

          • @Youi2018: They definitely do stock it here in Melbourne, I used to get them at half price

      • My wife gets them very often in Melb.

  • Definitely have them at Coles, they’re in a bag that’s mainly a blue colour. From memory they’re in the same area with pre-popped popcorn packets. I had to hunt around for them too though, so I can understand that you didn’t find them. Definitely ask at the help desk and they’ll sort you out if you can’t find them next time.

  • If your supermarket doesn't sell it, you can get it on Amazon Aus. Can grab popcorn salt while you're there. ;)

    Riviana - my nemesis.
A few years ago they changed the packaging and doubled the price. 500g of corn used to be 65c on special. Now it is $1.95.
Every now and again I still call their 1800 number and leave a message that I have not forgotten they gouged us all for a massive price rise.

  • Got some at Woolies only two weeks or so ago.

  • Spouse always buy from kakulas brothers in Northbridge.

  • At my local Woolies they have a different brand of larger bags than Riviana in the health food aisle for slightly cheaper per 100 grams. Can't seem to find it on their website though.

My guess is there's a shortage due to covid lock down?

  • Did you ask? It's usually up high and out of sight

The old school pop in a pot stuff is in a 400gram blue bag from Riviana (Australian grown too!). It's $1.95 at Woolies and Coles.

They also have the microwave in a bag stuff in their own brand and "Poppin" brand in many flavours

They've upped the minimum order number unfortunately….
