Honestly, good luck retaining the true grip after a few months of concrete outdoor court.
I'd highly recommend instead buying a replica composite leather off ebay
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Wilson-NBL-Street-Shot-Basketbal…

The quality is unnoticeable after a few weeks of wear, alternatively if you don't mind a design ball they will be discounting the post-2020 season NBA limited edition balls

The only real ball with discernable value over everything else is an indoor molton anyway, nothing compares with the feel

    • any place i can buy this instore?

      • bought it at wilson store with it s specials

      • Most major sporting retailers will sell limited edition seasonal balls, try Rebel

  • My top recommendation is the Spalding NBA Zi/O Excel, if you want a durable and quality indoor/outdoor ball. Handling and feel is great, takes little time to break in. Another is the Under Armour 495 Indoor/Outdoor basketball (takes a bit longer to break in but is a good option).

If your a bit more price conscious, then the Spalding NBA Cross Street is my pick. Made of a composite rubber instead of the synthetic leather of other indoor/outdoor balls. Feeling and handling are good and leagues better than cheap rubber basketballs i've seen.

Own experience is mainly from high school, play with mates and I do referee games for the local high school team as a hobby.

  • All those special grips wear to quickly and the balls becomes slippery once it's got some dust and dirt on it.

A decent quality ball from 100% rubber is the best for outdoor play.

  • Wilson NCAA Wave Phenom Official Basketball

now i'm thinking of getting this.
