Beko and Euromaid Dishwashers Are Just Rebrands

I've posted this in other forums but i just want people to be aware, I've been comparing dishwashers and came across Beko and Euromaid, while I was looking at their dishwasher user manuals I found them to be remarkably similar.

Here is the Euromaid Freestanding 60cm Dishwasher EDWB16S
https://www.euromaid.com.au/sites/default/files/instruction_…

Here is the Beko BDF1630X: Freestanding Dishwasher
https://www.beko.com/content/dam/australia-au-aem/australia-…

The manuals have similar layouts and some of the pictures are exactly the same. The wash mode table also looks similar with the some modes having the same water and energy usage.

It seems that Beko and Euromaid dishwashers are the same machine with slightly different front panel.

    Hi.

    Welcome to private label manufacturing.

  • It's nothing new. Where do you think places like Kogan get all their "Kogan"-branded stuff? They definitely don't pay product designers for a unique range. That'll cost too much. So they literally ask the manufacturer to put their name on an existing product that other brands already use. If you look at places like ali-baba carefully enough, you'll find some of the generic versions of the Kogan-branded items or the same product with different brands on it. The prices are much lower, but they're sold in bulk batches.

  • Don't look at Electrolux, Westinghouse, dishlex etc.

    • That’s not rebrand

They are all made by the same company

      It’s no different to vw
      Skoda
      Vw
      Audi

      Dishlex
      Westinghouse
      Electrolux
      Aeg

Electrolux also has chef as their cheap cookware and Simpson as their cheap laundry
      products

      You also have Bosch

      Bosch
      Siemens
      Nef
      Gagenau

  • Beko staff member here. Beko is the manufacture, we manufacture them for Euromaid and a few other brands.

As mentioned Kogan, Stirling, Bellini and all the small cheap brands out there do it that way, it’s called OEM. You can literally go on Alibaba and order yourself a container full of dishwasher branded with your own name and logo on it.

    • Thanks for the info, seems reasonable to have large OEMs make it for the smaller brands, kinda like TVs, totally makes sense now, just didnt think about it till i started looking and comparing dishwashers.

  • Its pretty common across most product categories. Think about it a retail buyer says to a wholesaler I want a cheaper product offer in my range. Wholesaler says no they lose business. Wholesaler says yes however we'll produce it under another brand so it doesn't negatively impact premium brand image, and two doesn't hurt any of the other retailers I currently deal with. Win - Win scenario. Biggest issue you get is where a retail buyer cuts out the local supplier and goes direct to China supplier which happens occasionally, with some increased risk for the retailer.
