Got one about 18 months ago. Now chews through new batteries in about a week. Not worth it now. Was great when I got it.

      Isn’t it rechargeable.

      • +4 votes

Yes, have had one for about 9 months and have had to recharge it twice.

        • +2 votes

Yeah not sure what @flashi007 is talking about this unit is rechargeable and you don't have to charge it very often

There are some models in Renpho which is not rechargeable. We have one such model, but usage wise no issue we have been using Renpho for last 1 year. Good to buy brand

If the scale cannot wake up fully charged, please press the reset button on the back of the device.

I like how troubleshooting is in the description of the device.

How accurate is this product when it comes to bmi/ body fat?

    •

It's not that accurate but it's consistent. So it's great strength will be it's able to show trends or what impact changes you're making to your routine are having.

    Ordered! Thanks OP

I am not against the functionality of the scale , but the app installed on android and ios are sending your personal health data to the company server.
And it seems to collect the location as well on the Android app.

Heads up. you will be a part of their product after all.

The location permission is needed for Bluetooth access the way Android does its permissions
I agree about the app, I wasnt comfortable with how much it was asking for so I used openscale instead and that works great

      •

        Only on Android?

        •

I'm not sure how it works in the iOS side. Android went that way because Bluetooth can be used to locate you with beacons so I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same on iOS

          •

@based: I couldn’t find an app called OpenScale in the App store.

Must be an Android thing or I’m getting old.

      •

Wow, thanks for alerting me to this application - I've kinda always wished for something like this for these scales.

Couldn't find Renpho on the app's list of supported hardware, but I guess it works.

        Thanks again, have an upvote

Thanks it worked. And thanks to OP for the deal.

  •

    Thanks OP ordered

  •

How accurate are these things for stuff like body fat percentage? I feel skeptical about all these features.

Edit: decided not to be lazy and found this wiki about BIA: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bioelectrical_impedance_anal...

So it’s obviously not the most accurate and tends to underread BF percentage. I guess if you get a baseline and track progress though it will still be helpful.

    •

you are entirely right to be sceptical.

They aren't accurate within 5%. You are better off taking photos and recording the weight readout.

  •

    Will this work with myfitnesspal?

    • +1 vote

      Yep - although not directly.

I have it synced to Samsung Health, which in turn is synced with MyFitnessPal. Works fine.

It should be no different for Apple devices.

  •

Thanks, ordered! Bought one from Target recently and it is rubbish.

  •

Thanks OP, ordered. the free shipping (arriving mid next week too) and the discount were too good to pass up. And my wife had already asked me for a rechargeable scale last week. Hope that its not a pain to link up to bluetooth and track data, seems like it wont be. Cheers

    •

I am in the exact same boat. Just orderd Kmart $15 one yesterday but I am going to return it and get this one.

      • +1 vote

yeah the little CR2032 batteries in some normal scales are a pain as they need replacing (or at least i havent seen a charger or rechargeable ones, and its a pretty specific device to have a charger for, so wouldn't buy anyway)

    Thanks OP, grabbed one :)

Can it hold 200KG asking for a friend?

    •

rated max of 180kg, wouldn't trust readings above that as it may not be designed to give accurate readings for those

Use coupon and free delivery option. Just purchased one. Thanks OP

Buyers beware - There seems to be a known bug on these particular model that owners have observed including myself. The numbers on the scale tend to go up eveytime I step on it in a weekly basis… Jokes aside, a very good product. Bluetooth connects every time and the app is a joy to use. Recommended

  •

    How accurate are these things?

    •

      accurate for weight

  •

Just wondering can multiple users utilise the bluetooth feature and how efficient is the scale in switching between multiple bluetooth pairings? If anyone has a relevant experience please share thanks.

  •

Thanks for sharing the discount, bought one today.

  •

I've got the non rechargeable version and it's pretty good. I compared it to my last body composition scan and to be honest it's pretty damn close so I'd say it's fairly accurate considering it's given price point.

  •

Thanks, Just ordered one. Forgot I had Amazon prime. I assume I can use it with the bio sync stuff/ features?

  •

Hi op, is this coupon one per account only? I am trying to get another one as a gift for someone and I can't apply the code again:
