COODIO SSD Amazon Bargain Post Follow Up

I noticed the bargain post for this deal is no longer available so here is my follow up to receiving the COODIO SSD (by ANYTEN) from the Amazon deal.

It's been awhile now with no updates however it was supposedly sent out, so I requested the tracking number from the seller and got this response.

"Hi ,my dear buyer
The product you purchased has been shipped, The last time the product was sent out but were returned . the freight company has notified us that due to COVID-19, logistics has been interrupted and we cannot successfully deliver the package soon. We are still not sure when we can resume logistics. . Do you want to get a refund now or want to keep waiting?
We felt so gulity
Wait till your reply
regards"

Anyone still hoping for this to arrive shouldn't put much faith in it coming.

Reason: Deal doesn't meet Amazon AU posting guidelines

    Found via Reddit:

COODIO Solid State Disks 2.5" Internal SSD 120GB - $9.62 + Free delivery (Prime) @ Amazon AU

Did you really think you'd get a 120GB SSD for $9.62…? Srsly?

Why scoff at this? It's a $30 item. It's not like there haven't been plenty of other price errors in the same realm that have been honoured. There's the post the other day of people receiving a $200 discount on motorbike clothing, and before with the different Bunnings/Officeworks gift cards given out for errors.

However did I expect to get it? It's Amazon, there's no risk with buying potential price errors. And it's not the first or last price error that will be posted here.

        Why scoff at this?

        • Seller was new and/or had a low feedback rating, hence why it was removed from here.

        • Price point was at the "too cheap to be true" price point.

So yes, good reason to scoff when the red flags were flying high. It's a matter of being an educated buyer to avoid scams and potential issues that arise from listings like this.

It's Amazon, there's no risk with buying potential price errors.

There's multiple posts on this forum of people who have said the same, then waited months for refunds. Sure, most people won't miss $10 and desperately need it back, however why put yourself in that position? It's the same as buying from someone who has an SSD in their coat and sells it to you in a back alley.

          • Price point was at the "too cheap to be true" price point.

Again $20 off is not a "too cheap to be true" price point when there are many price errors with higher discounts that have been honoured on here.

Not really the same when it is Amazon that has pretty quick resolutions in my experience, and have already processed the refund.

A 66% discount, from a new seller with low or little feedback rating is however…

and have already processed the refund.

            Your SSD purchase never existed.

I'm trying to use this as an educational experience, however you seem naive to the red flags. You can lead a horse to water…

If the seller had one more positive review it would have passed the guidelines.

I get the point you are making but I think you are making a bigger issue than it is. I'm not meeting up with this seller at midnight handing over my bankcard and keys. It's a $9.62 purchase through Amazon that has protection and good resolution services.

If I was really naive to red flags I'd be one of the forum posters talking about my gumtree failings, giftcard payments, loans by friends/family that haven't been repaid, etc.

  • I just got an unsolicited message from them through Amazon that says the same thing. Oh well, didn't hurt to try :)

same here. got the identical message from the seller! ha!

  • Me too.

Instead of saying that it was an error (which I didn't think it was), they gave me some cock and bull story.

If you look at feedback on the Amazon site, this seller cancelling sales is quite common. Not entirely sure why.

    Wasted my time
