Ray Ban New Wayfarers 2132 for $100

Would you consider this a bargain? Also what's the average RRP for a pair of these, I check online but the price range is too broad.

  • I recently researched the New Wayfarers for my daughter (about 4 weeks ago). They retail for between $140 to $240 for polarized lens versions in Aus stores like Sunglasses Hut.

Online you can get them for as little as $80 or so and $130 (polarized) USD in various colours, though unless you're an expert, you can't be absolutely sure they are genuine (some very good fakes out there apparently). I wouldn't mind the guarantee of fakes for the price of $15-20, but forking out good money for the chance of them, I couldn't personally take the risk and bought retail in a brick and mortar shop in Aus.

There are some Sunglasses Hut stores that have black or tortoise shell on sale for $100 odd, so you don't have to take the risk of online stores many without warranty. However I was quoted $209 for 2 different coloured 2132's at Shades in Rundle Mall, Adelaide and Sunglasses hut didn't apparently stock colours at all (only black and tortoise shell), so I went for the coloured polaried at $240. No not a bargain, but I got fed up looking, LOL

Below links were the cheapest prices online I could find:

    Hope that helps.
