    • What's the prefect water level?

      • Whatever it says on the back of the package which is 500ml I think.

  • Anyone know if this is ok to feed to a "Vegetarian" who is ok eating "eggs and fish sometimes"?

    • +1

You can see the ingredient list here. It looks suitable for vegetarians.

      • +1

It would be interesting to know given the American ingredients list seems to contain beef and the european anchovy.

  • I myself much prefer the Nong Shim Kim Chi taste https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/660232/?go… to this tasteless spicy noodles.

  • +1

    Uncle Roger approves

  • These noodles are great, but like any Korean spicy noodle, super hot!
Even after using a small amount of the spice, the heat remains. If I have any for lunch, gotta cancel all plans for the evening - need to be near the home throne.

  • Nongshin Black is better. Not sure if you can get in Australia.

    • You can get them from Korean grocery stores.

    • Its available in Woolies in the Asian section.

  • Tried these today for the first time. No flavour and just heat! But the type of artificial heat that hits the back of your throat..

Before I throw these out, how can I reduce the heat level?

    • dont use the whole pack of spice

    • +1

add a egg in, also make it more creamy

      • boiling the egg together with noodles?

    • Add a few spoons of cement to harden up.

  • Do love Any noodles, keeping the chilli packets in the freezer.

Latest thing I've tried is San Remo Large Spiral Pasta (ends up like a slightly thinner 'C' cell battery size - so name very apt).

Also Coles Instant Cook Spaghetti (different packaging, slightly different shelf area). They're 50 cents dearer than 9 minute Spaghetti, but Fast (really are 2 min's, but Very thin - like ½ width normal Spag.). Also a bit frothy, they overflow if you microwave in boiled water for 3 or more mins - I love gooey noodles/spaghetti.

Only wholegrain noodles in Woolies/Coles/IGA are Wokka Wholegrain 2 serve shelf noodles (no low fat / wholegrain in instant noodles since Covid). Loving the fresh(?) shelf Hokkien, Udon, Singapore - 2 serves & Vermicilli dehydrated - 5 serves packets.

  • Ingredients include Palm Oil….Will not buy Nong Shim Shin Ramyun!

    • From your link…

The vegetable oil is also a great source of tocotrienols, a form of vitamin E - an “antioxidant that provides protection to your cells and that can reduce your risk of certain health problems such as heart disease and cancer,” according to Livestrong

  • Saw this selling for $3.80 in Sussex st Korean store

  • The black edition actually has a better flavor imho. Not as spicy though

  • As of 1:08AM AEDT, it's down to $3.25 when looking at it online at the Woolies store (and in my online cart)
