Firstly, I acknowledge that I could have done something better like posting a free ebook but I went down the lazy path of downloading, editing and then uploading these photos. I am totally remorseful for this behaviour and kowtow to all the lords here.

There are possibly more deals than the one I have in the heading (which seems to be the cheapest at this time) but I've listed the product that is available at multiple retailers and not just Aldi.

Finally, please feel free to neg the deal - you will have the support of a prolific poster but I totally understand it's nothing personal.

Credit to the Facebook poster.

  • Hi dealbot.
Do you have the page with the mower.

Also it's not that clear, is it a 20V?

    Cheers

    • 80V

    • i see 80v

      • That seems to be too good! It also looks like it comes with a 5 year warranty too.

        • +1

          Same one as last year.

          • @imnotgoingtopayrrp: Any reviews on the mower?

            • +1

@bashar20: I have the electric mower. Very happy with it had it for about 12 months now. Battery life is good but doesn't quiet get my full front and backyard done in one charge if I have let the grass grow high. In saying that I have an 1100 square metre block with a rather small 3 bed house so plenty of yard to do.

              • @Kamppinator: Copying my review from below:

Yep have this and an Ego - the Ferrex is more powerful and awesome specs for the money being self-propelled. Even managed to scalp my lawn with it (after taking off the back wheels). But there are downsides - not as easy to manouver as the EGO as it's heavier too and it isn't as easy to store away after use as the EGO. And yes battery life isn't that great especially if you're using the self-propelled function. I don't love it as much as the EGO as a package but can't deny the value proposition.

              • @Kamppinator: Did you use any other mowers to compare it with?
I have a approx a 150-200m2 backyard. Never used a lawn mower before. So looking for recommendations.

                • @bashar20: I can recommend the Bunnings deal on the Ozito PXC Brushless 2x18v $349 from a few weeks ago, it's been great for me.

                  • @OpayuOnam: Do you have a link for that mower? All I can find on their website is the single 18V brushless (which in a kit at $199 seems like good value for a small lawn).

                  • @OpayuOnam: It's not on their website as it's clearance. search in ozbargain as it was posted here a while back (you can see it on my comments).

@bashar20: So I had this from last year. Was initially great but had the battery rapidly die. Unfortunately was told that they couldn't replace or even sell me just the battery so i returned the whole thing. While it worked it was good, but just couldn't last long enough off a single charge for me. Rapidly would overheat and deplete in even medium length grass. Still better than petrol though.

Other major annoyance was that battery wouldn't charge while hot (which was always after using it). If you put it in while hot, it won't charge when once it cools downs, it must be put in once cold. This meant that after you finished with the lawn mower you had to go out to the charger an hour or so later to slot the battery into the charger. Quite annoying.

Looks like this one is identical, although I'm not sure how big the battery is. Last one was 80v 2 amp

              • @Ezuku: Ooh thanks for your feedback. How large is your lawn? Would you recommend any other alternatives?

                • +1

@bashar20: Medium lawn, maybe 150-200 sqm total (although i rarely do both front and back same day), Kikuyu.

Oh, the self propelled was also a bit annoying. Due to the battery issues i only ever used the self propelled when going up hill, or cornering. When pushing it though you still have to push against the self propelled mechanism, which adds to the resistance.

Despite what I've said, it was a very pleasurable mower to use not counting the battery issues. It's quite light and quiet (compared to petrol). You could always just buy it and return it if you run into the same issues.

I was planning at some stage to buy a ryobi ($600ish or so), ego (1200ish), or buy a petrol mower. If they just fixed the battery issue (larger battery) and charging annoyance (need to insert while cold) I'd buy this again in a heartbeat at this price.

@bashar20: Have a look on productreview. Lots of reviews. Was looking at getting this but $200/battery with only a 1 year warranty. Think I'll pass.
