Hack? Cyberpunk 2077 for < $40 with EB Trade Deal/Big W Clearances

Big W are currently clearing out a selection of older titles for $10, one of which is World War Z. This has a $16 trade value on Xbox One and $18 trade value for PS4. These two titles will qualify you for the $29 deal at EB Games.

If you're lucky, your Local Big W may also have My Hero One's Justice 2 on Switch or PS4. Both should cost $20 and have respective trade values of $34 and $32.

This will get you Cyberpunk for "free" (being the cost of the trade bait games) and give you a bit of money left over - and that is before EB World bonuses.

  • Is there a list of what games qualify for the $29 deal?

    • +1

It's games that trade in for $10 or over. This could potentially change a lot and I'm not 100% sure if there's a definitive list

      • How do you know which games trade for what?

        • I called in advance to double check. All stores can instantly check the trade value on any games you mention over the phone

        • games trade in for roughly 40% of their pre-owned price at ebgames.
So any game that ebgames sells pre-owned for $25+

  • this is going to send EB Games into bankruptcy sooner than later. :D

  • I can confirm that Shenmue 3 ($15 at JB), Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($19 at JB) and Far Cry: New Dawn ($17 at Big W) DO count towards this offer.

I can also confirm that Extinction, Rainbow Six Siege, The Division 2 and Rayman Legends DO NOT count towards this offer.

Should be able to get Cyberpunk 2077 for $61 if the best options are stocked in my local stores. Would've paid $79 otherwise. Thanks!

P.S. the person I was on the phone with asked her manager about a list of games compatible for this deal. The manager said there wasn't a specific list, and said she could "look it up". Unsure what this is referring to, but could potentially be helpful.

    • I also discovered Ark Trades in for $25 on XB1 and $28 on PS4. Big W were selling them for $10 each if they had any remaining stock
