Given that I’m not travelling anytime soon, what can I do with these?
Flybuys - can’t get ebay vouchers/gift cards so no deal.
CBA - not many options for gift cards
Amex - travel specific, no deal
Velocity - not enough points and no travel.
Thought of getting a monitor from eBay but won’t get anything now. Any other option?
For Flybuys, I convert to Flybuys dollars and use at Coles, Coles express, Kmart, Target etc just like a credit card. It’s super easy.
Can I use flybuys $ to buy gift cards?

Why do you want to convert them to gift cards when Flybuy dollars works the same way, but with no expiry and you can use them on the go as needed? Don’t you ever do grocery shopping?
Can you use Flybuy dollars online? Or is it only in store?
There are few gift cards available on flybuys point store.
Only downside with this option for me was that their delivery for the gift card is really slow. Over 3 weeks in my experience.
Don't worry with that amount of points you won't be going very far either
I mostly just convert mine to gift cards. I know that flights and upgrades are the best value, but in reality I wouldn't actually pay for upgrades so to me I'm not really getting any benefit from points that way and would rather just get Coles/Bunnings/whatever vouchers and get stuff I actually need.
Ah, but we can’t buy vouchers/GC using flybuys points !! Someone just confirmed :(
In-store redemption/Flybuys Dollars is basically the same thing. We use them at Coles/Target/Kmart/Liquorland frequently.
Hold on to them, keep saving and next year when the transfer bonus is on move the flybuys over to velocity.
Why are people thinking short term? You will fly in the future.. This is the time to buy up points whilst people are selling them for peanuts and live it up in the future! wooo
I bought three amazing Kitchen knife sets (1 for me, 2 for gifts) when they were (triple value) or some such thing. Checking retail, it was a good price. Turned out to be the best knives I've had.
Next go-round, I got the Weber Q2000. I top up fast due to the posted Cole's coupons + app coupons. Funnily, every shop I do is about 50-90% of super-marked down foods.

How long did it take you to save up those points, relative to your definition of "soon"? If it's taken a couple of years or more to save it all up and you don't expect to travel for "only" 6-12 months, then just keep it as-is and wait. Flight/upgrade redemptions are the best value.
