  • Nice price on this! I bought an inferior Inkbird model for not much less recently. Single probe, uses coin batteries, no display.

    • Hi,which thermometer did you bought ?Could you please let me know order number ?So that i could find your order.
Don't worry,if it's faulty in warranty,i will send you new replacement or refund you

  • Hey, I would like to know what do you recommend for a coffee machine. Specifically a Rancilio Silvia. Cheers

    • Get a PID kit? Or upgrade to an expobar / rocket =p

      • If you can afford it get the pro version with dual boiler and PID, but cant go wrong with exopobar and rocket either.

And if you are starting out, rancilio Silvia with PID is a great machine and if you are making coffee just for yourself and friends taste wise it would be no different.

From what I have gathered other than functionality, the high end machines tends to use commercial grade parts, you are really using a sledge hammer for a nail, in saying that I would still get a 2-3k machine just for looks.

  • +1

Thanks OP, been in the market for a new thermometer after I melted my cheap Bunnings one. This is a good price so I had to buy one.

  • do you have one with WIFI?

    • I've got the WiFi version with 4 probes. Has been good so far. Had one or two drop outs tho. App is okay. Customer service from inkbird was fantastic as had an issue with one of the probes and they sent a new one immediately.

  • I was seriously looking at this as a replacement for the one (same model) I broke (by leaving out in the rain), then I found this:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0194TQ394/ref=ppx_yo_d…

Looks superior in most regards, and slightly cheaper? Arriving today, so time will tell

    • why superior?

      • It has 6 buttons, a timer function, colour-change on the LCD to indicate over-temps, it's ruggedised.
That said, the IBT-2X has two probes, and is probably more accurate.

  • Hi OP,

Any deals on the 4 probe version?

    • what is the use case for 4 probe?

Can't even think of why need 2 probe

      • +2

One for BBQ Temp, the other for internal meat temp.
If you're cooking different kinds of meat at the same time you might use more than 2.

        • oic.

          how accurate is this thermometer?

is this the best BBQ thermometer brand?

          • @pinkybrain: I don't know what the error tolerance is, but well within what you need for BBQ'ing

Yeah, Inkbird is pretty well regarded.

            • @MambaZone: I recently got the aldi BBQ thermometer..for $15.

              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GE6u5yLymA

Do you think I should return it and get this one instead?

What is the tolerance temperature range on this?

Does the alarm sound on this device or on the app on our phone?
              and how loud is it?

              • @pinkybrain: The Inkbird is supposedly accurate to within 1 degree celcius.

Depends how much you think you will use it. For me, I'd go with the Inkbird just for convenience not having to carry around a separate device.
But if you're only going to use it every now and then for simple BBQ, I'm sure the Aldi one will work fine.

Alarm is on both the unit and the app.

  • Guys is this the best cooking digital meat thermometer out there?

  • Thanks OP! Been needing to get myself a new (reliable) thermometer
