Buying Discounted Games with Xbox Game Pass

Noob question.

I have a current active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which will expire in 6 days. I do not intend to continue the subscription thereafter.

If I buy-to-own a game that is offered at a discount price to Game Pass holders, do I get to continue playing the game after the subscription lapses?

I just subscribed to fame pass for the 1 dollar for a month. I think it's pretty good at the moment I downloaded the halo mcc game in like 2 hours and the first 2 halos are working pretty good on my 4k screen with shit pc specs. I am a happy chap.
