  • How much does it cost to have it installed on a 2nd level room?

    • same question, any idea on cost, some come with installation, is this one of those deals??

    • I am guessing: from $500 to $700

      • Think closer to $700+

    • Looks like their standard install cost is $770. Double story would be easy min 100more. Depending if need extra copper, materials, wall/roof bracket etc

      • Bunnings do installations? Are they good? Always wanted to get a separate air con unit for the bedroom as the current system is for the whole floor and it's not even powerful enough.

  • Got this, outstanding unit

Its a shame install near costs the same as the unit!

  • Hi. Any deal on upstairs only deal? 4 average rooms. Best recommendation or eco solution please. Thx

    • +2

If you have like a retreat area upstairs you can put like a 5-7kw (Depending on the area) to flow into bedrooms. Otherwise 2.5kw in each off a multihead outdoor

      • Thank you so much.

  • Im getting Mitsubishi Electric 3.5kw soon … do they have the same components inside ?

    • No, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Electric are different companies.

      • -4

Yeah ! Mitsubishi Electric is far better. In old days I bought 2 sets of Mitsubishi Electric seperate aircons, made in Thailand. After almost 15 years, they are still working well.

How many boxes? I got 2 . One for inside , one for outside.

    • Yes,

Mate, this is Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, not Mitsubishi Electric.

If it were Mitsubishi Electric, then, it must be a good deal.

Mitsubishi Electric is far better than Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, in aircon products.

  • How can you price beat this in Melbourne?

    • +1

1 Go to Bunnings, either within 5KM or not. I don't care.

2 Show them the price of the item listed on Air Con Shop VIC

3 They adjust the price down for you.

      • I had to call around a few stores as they kept on adding the delivery charge on.

        • It is an Votoria store. If you purchase it in Victoria and click and collect, and you have a trade account, You should be able to…

I have been asked for adding delivery fee due to 5KM limit. I told them I have work permit and do the trade. They agreed to wave off the delivery fee.

  • Been following this thread. Since it's a VIC one, anyone can recommend decent installers?
    Thanks

    • Where abouts are you ?

      • Southeast of Melb

      • Do you know of any installers in the Western suburbs that you would recommend?

  • Southeast of Melb

  • Did anyone find a good installer in Brisbane?

  • Can anyone confirm if bunnings is authorised for the cashback promotion?

  • Anyone know any good installers in south east?

  • Incredible, thanks OP! Picked up two units from the local Bunnings. Post cash back, it’s ~$650 each for a 2.5 and 3.5kW unit!

    • Did you do this in Victoria? I rang my local (Northland) and said they can't do pricematches during COVID. Also said they cant process giftcards either.

        Yep! Albeit regional Victoria (Geelong)
