Lian Li O11 Dynamic vs Phanteks P600S vs other case?

I'll be doing a X570 ATX build with a possibility of 3080. But I'm really having a hard time which case to choose. My preference is a case that is not too big that would fit an ATX mobo with a 3080 but also maintain having a space inside with a nice airflow.

I've narrowed down my choices between these cases:

Lian Li O11 Dynamic: I want to get the non-XL version because the bigger one is too big for my tasting and for my room. Really well built case, but it's more than 2 years old? Also, I would also have to buy all the additional fans for this case.

Phanteks P600S: My another choice. Quiet and nice airflow from the reviews I've read but my only concerns are the air filters all over the place.

What other better alternatives are there in the market for a PC Case that's mid-sized? Thanks.

  • I've got a P600S and I love it. Super well made, it feels premium, the cable management was easy, and I quite like the ability to easily remove the front panel for better airflow or keep it on for a quieter computer (I usually just have it on). In terms of the filters, I find I really only have to clean the front one (three 140mm fans at the front, one at the back).

    • Thanks. Did you replace the stock fans in front? What was your fan configuration? I'm thinking of putting the stock fans to the bottom of GPU and put QL120 RGB fans on the front instead. Then an H150i 3x120mm CPU cooler to the top for exhaust.

      • I didn't - I moved the rear mounted fan to the front (so there are the three stock fans at the front) and placed a 140mm be quiet! high speed fan at the back for exhaust. Works pretty well. Sounds like your set up would work pretty well though!

  • I have the lian li. Ive had tons of cases and would not consider anything else after owning it. Im considering a purchase of the mirror one. Think it looks amazing.

  • P600S. Well worth it. Only pccasegear has stock of these in oz.

  • I upgraded from a Corsair 275R (similar size to O11 XL) and I personally don't think the increased size makes a significant impact to my surrounding, and bigger case are just easy to build with and more option for upgrade

but if you're keen on the mid-tower case, MetallicGear Neo Qube is a good option I think, looks to be almost the same as the O11 but cheaper

  • I have the o11 razer edition. It's a showpiece case so be prepared for lots of cable management and rgb :)

  • These are the top performers in thermals and acoustics from Gamers Nexus' standardized testing review:
    Lancool II Mesh (L) 478mm x (W) 229mm x (H) 494mm
    P500A 240 mm x 510 mm x 505 mm

A bit smaller but performs just as well:
    P400A 210 mm x 465 mm x 470 mm

  • be quiet 500DX
    Lian Li Lancool II Mesh
    Phanteks P400A/P500A

Personally I love the look of the O11 Dynamic.

You could get a few sets of the new Lian Li Unifans if you wanted :)
