    Heard these require regular head replacements which aren’t cheap, waiting on a Panasonic arc5 bargain

    Having had a Braun s8 for near on 20 yaers. Yes it still uses Foils and Cutters from current Braun Models.

    The foil and cutter last about 6 months before the foil cracks and gets a hole, then it's blood and cuts time. $50 a pop.

    That's doing a 5 o'clock growth shave and not a full face evey second day, sack every other day.

    Is not a lot of use compared to some who fully shaves every day.

    I have tried all the high-end shaver

    Philips, Panasonic and Braun.

    Only Panasonic is working for me, the other brands are BAD.

      Agreed. Have had Braun but the Panasonic give a closer shave. YMMV. Though the cleaning base on the Braun’s are better than the Panasonic’s.

    My main problem is Braun almost non existence customers support, been trying series 5 and battery dead every year, get replacement from shaver shop and die again after that braun and shaver shop refused to honour warranty, the problem is not because the battery wears off due aging, Panasonic never have this problem. A shame I miss the arc 5 sales.

      My braun battery faded 10 years ago. I just use it hooked up to the power point.

        That only work for non wet and dry, all wet and dry cannot be use while plug. Don't get me wrong it great shaver but with non existence customers support and questionable battery quality, I love my braun toothbrush it refuse to die even after 8 years it does not hold charge much anymore but, that's what's suppose to happen.
