Help Choosing a Fridge Freezer 250L Approx

Surprise, Surprise went to the beer fridge last night and found all my beer was hot. My fridge had died.
Now I'm after a new Fridge Freezer 250L Approx. Its been years since I have purchased a Fridge Freezer so need some help in deciding what brand to buy.
I would like one about the same size (250L) a top mount with a decent star rating but will not entertain one from Kogan.
Love to hear your suggestions hopefully at a reasonable price.

Check out gumtree and facebook marketplace - I've seen some real cheapies for free or $50 - and they look like they are in pretty good condition.

    • Thanks for the suggestions but I would prefer to go for a new fridge.

How small can you go? CHOICE gives this one an ok rating but it's only 216L.

Good reviews too at The Good Guys.

I got this one for a rental. It's small but presentable.

Pro's: Flat glass shelves. Decent star rating compared to the alternatives around the the same size/price.
Con's: Very bottom shelf goes up at the back so isn't great for 1.25l or 2l drink bottles lying flat. Large items tend to wobble in the doors.

      Paid $319 at HN.

Chiq is renamed badge, used to be Changhong.

      • Yes noticed that the bottom shelf goes up at the back on the 216L but from memory on the 320L its flat , as to star ratings / size they seem to be well priced.

        • Unfortunately I had to fit into a small space height-wise and there were very few options. Ultimately the glass shelves were the deciding factor. If you've got space the larger one is probably the better choice.

  • Thanks this looks a great possibility as its only a 2nd fridge., i don't know the brand "CHiQ" have they been around for a while ?

Until this morning I'd never heard of CHiQ. The Good Guys appear to have been selling them since August 2019.

      • Had a look at JB HI-FI's at both the Chiq 216L ($320) and the Chiq 320L ($420), they looked OK. Have decided to go with the 320L one being 100L bigger for an extra $100.
Thanks for your help - thats one problem solved.
        Cheers

      • Went in to pay for the Chiq 320L tonight and ended getting it for $400. Great !

        • How is your Chiq doing? i wanna get a 200L chest freezer

          • @Fuzzy69: Very happy with it , has not missed a beat .
Ps. This is the upright I purchased .
