The Sense 8+ and SW20 power banks feature multiple fast charging technologies including 18W USB-PD via USB-C, Quick Charge 3.0 via the blue USB port and 5V/2.1A via the white USB port. • Only cost me $9.49 for the 10000mAh sense4 mini last month with code

    • +16

Yes a price error that was honoured. The main deal are the 2 fast charging variants.

      • +2

Glad they honoured the price error too as I use this charger most days and it is perfect

        • when i think of romoss i see clear's old avatar

      • props for honouring.

  • +1

Got this from the last deal, this thing is a beast

  • These rock. Been using the PTM20 for a month and a bit and it hasn't skipped a beat. Keeps relatively cool, too.

  • -4

Guess I'll keep waiting for a deal on a Quick Charging 10000mAh Power Bank. Same fast, less brick.

    • +3

Yeah, go ahead and keep waiting. No one's stopping you.

  • Any deal on the LT20PS+

    • +1

Not this time but likely at the end of the month as they do rotate each deal.

Hi Clear, do you happen to know if Romoss are going to bring the 30,000 and 40,000 (with the circle screen) to their Amazon store? They have them on Aliexpress and eBay (from Australia), but not Amazon for some reason. Thanks

    • +1

Like this one thats $56 with the discount applied
      https://www.amazon.com.au/40000mAh-ROMOSS-Portable-Charger-E…

It's tempting doesnt say S10 not supported, but 40amp hours is a hell of a lot of energy to be carrying around, so im not sure i want to go that high (yeah a failure is bad whether its a 20AH Kogan or a 40AH romoss).

      • Cheers, that's the one. Hopefully it'll get prime shipping soon too

        • There is a plan for more models to come and faster ones too. I just don't know when that is.

          • @Clear: No worries thanks. I see they now have a 45W 20000 on AliExpress. I hope they bring that one. I’d love a 40000 that does 65w… maybe one day

Dumb question, just confirming does this charge the S10? Title of the ROMOSS 18W 30000mAh Power Bank notes "Samsung Galaxy(S9/S10 is not)", assuming this is a no go?

    • They should fast charge at 18W through the QC usb port and the USB C port. Some variants like the zs10 5G use PPS to enable 25W charging which this powerbank doesn't support.

      • Thanks.

    • I asked the same question in the last deal. Just like last time, I would not expect any reply.
But, as per my own experience, my 4 year old Xiaomi charges my s10 plus just fine. around 1hr 45 min. for full charge. So, this should be fine as well.
Just make sure you use a good quality cable.

If it says it's not then that is your answer 😉 I've received mixed reports from people but without owning either I can't say for certain.

      • Hi Clear,
I bought the Romoss 30000mAh Sense 8+ 18W Power Bank. I charge my iphone 8 with type c connected to powerbank and lighting to the phone. Sometimes the powerbank will have blue lights indicating it is using the 18W fast charge and most times red lights indicating the slow charge.
How to I make it always charge using the 18W fast charge?
        Thanks in advance!

  • I have sw20 bought on amazon last year and only charging iPhone once and running out of battery. Also getting hot while charging. Rep can you advice ?

    • +1

Best bet is to reach out to Romoss on Amazon as it would be under warranty and they can sort for you.

  • Hi looking to buy as a present for an ipad 8th gen2020 owner ,will this fast charge for them or not because I think it's still a standard apple socket, do they fast charge with that socket?

    • Never had an apple product so not upto speed, cheers

    • Yes, this model listed should charge an ipad reasonably fast using the USB C PD 18W max output and hence just using the included

USB C to lightning cable. Sund like the included apple usb C chargers are also 18W max, so should charge similar if voltages are ok.

  • I thought the jaycar 20k one was good for $79, thanks just ordered

  • +2

Bit of a strange question here, but I've got a dashcam for the car and want it to keep recording while parked elsewhere - surely 30k mah would last an entire day or more? Then when I drive again I switch over to the cigarette lighter to power the dashcam and to recharge the powerbank?

I have looked into tapping straight into the car battery but have a somewhat unique car and it would probably cost me money to get someone to install it and I'd also be worried about warranty. Thoughts on my solution above? Think that would work?

    • You can connect Powerbank to Car Charger and then power bank should be fine for operating a dash cam. Also it all depends upon the usage and charging time while you drive the car.

    • +4

The catch is that most power packs like these have lithium ion batteries, which don't do well in extreme heat or cold, i.e. that can expand and even catch fire. And if you think about one of these battery packs sitting in a hot car all day where internal temps can hit 50 or 60 degrees, probably not a good idea.

      • +1

I agree with Stefce , you have to consider the temperature Inside the car.

      • +1

good point Stefce, I think that probably answers my question!

    • It would last more than a day but depends on how long you drive for, 30000mah takes about 6-7 hours to charge from empty at 18w ie. Fast charge.

These do have pass through so you can plug the camera and the cigarette charger and not have to switch them around.

You can just insulate the powerbank and put it under the passenger seat away from sunlight, it usually doesn't get insanely hot under there, or in the boot of a sedan. I keep naked 21700 batteries in my centre console and my car hasn't caught fire yet.

Lifep04 batteries specially made for dash cams usually cost $2-300

  • Just connect it to the cigarette charger. It works for me. Do not modify the car.

  • Would these work to power USB LED lights in a tent?
We had a cheap 10000 one from Kmart and the lights turn off after about 30 seconds even when the power banks says fully charged…

    • These are excellent for camping - when camping at unpowered sites we use the SW20 to power LEDs in the tent and the OM10 to power 2 of these wrapped on the ceiling frame of our portable gazeebo.

The digital xxx% display is much more useful. I'd pounce on the 30k version if it had the digital display

      • Cheers, I wonder why the Kmart power bank wouldn't work then.

        • was it new? I've seen this behaviour in my old cheap/free battery packs that have been left unused in the drawer for a bit too long.

          • @Cunning Linguist: Yeah it was new so were the lights. The lights : Input: DC 5V 2A max via USB port

            • @faulks2: Ok can't comment on the kmart ones but our Romoss ones have no problems keeping our LEDs on from dusk until we go to sleep

    • What is the current draw of the USB LED? I have a power bank that will turn off when the current is too low ie <0.05A.

      • It says: Input: DC 5V 2A max via USB port for the lights

  • We ended up getting a second SW20 when our Anker died. Anker warranty was horrible to deal with so we got another SW20. Both never miss a beat and are keeping charge. Would recommend.

  • I have the Romoss 20000mAh SW20 18W Power Bank and it is solid. Happy with mine.

  • The 30000mAh one is great and works well with my MacBook Pro

  • I have problem with this product. It's keep showing red indicator when I was trying to charge it. So I don't know if it is fully charged or not. And I cannot use it to charge anything else as well. Only showing red flashing indicator.
Is my product faulty? Anyone can help before I return them back to Amazon.

    Thanks alot!
