Looking for a Good Desktop

Hi I'm looking for a new good desktop for everyday normal use and editing some videos in adobe premiere.

Dell seems to be having big sales atm, would something like this Optiplex be a good deal? (I just don't want to be ripped off even though it says over 50% off)

I want something like 16gb ram, i7, ssd, something like that. Sorry I'm not pro with computers, that's all I know. Thanks.

You're paying a premium price for " reliability" and form factor
Same price in home desktop should get you "better" components.

        • thanks

  • Get one that can play video games and a good keyboard and mouse

I probably won't play any video games though…

      • A rarity on OzBargain. Good on you for not wasting hours of your life daily on gaming!

How dare you personally attack my lifestyle

          • @epkh: Ah? My comment was directed at 'btee' and was applauding him for not wasting heaps of his time on unproductive gaming.

Game away, most on this forum are happy to do so…hence why I wrote that 'btee' was a rarity.

@SelfMade: youre making me feel bad. i was just joking :(

  • Gaming pc = decent cpu, decent amount of ram, decent gpu and if nvidia = cuda acceleration = better for video editing.

Edit: Meant to reply to OP in one of the comments.

    • How do I tell if the GPU is decent?

  • Guessing the videos are 4K and fairly long?

    • Trying to only make youtube videos, 1080 atm, maybe 4k in the future
